Night Moods
Soft sound of innocent slumber,
Peaceful dreams chase the light,
Heart inflamed with emotions
I gaze down upon my love.
Tender features softened by sleep
No lines hardened by worried thoughts
The days troubles forgotten
Restful sleep envelops the night.
Wispy breath from parted lips
Whispered words in the night.
Telling of my desire and love
To the one my heart is for.
With gentle stirring I lie
Cuddle against your side
Hold you lightly in my arms
Lest I disturb your slumber.
One last look upon my love
As sleep follows slowly
My heart filled to bursting,
For the one lying by my side.
