Youth

Wake up my little one, wake up.

Won't you smile for me.

Start this day with radiance

And chase away the night.

Share your innocence and lighten my heart,

So I may forget the worries of life

And lift my spirits with your exuberance

Then carry me away to another world.

Take me to your secrete place,

Where bright rainbows fill the sky.

Where clouds are made of cotton candy.

The roar of laughter the only thunder.

Lie on soft carpets of grass,

Fly kites on seas of wind.

Their tails dancing a ballet

Whirl around in a pirouette.

As evening comes and the sun fades,

We'll listen for the call of the Whooperwill,

Chase Lightening bugs to and fro,

Then gaze at the diamonds in the sky.

It's time for sleep now my little one,

Won't you give me one last smile.

I'm grateful you shared this day with me.

And let me be young once again.
