Elba BELLAH, youngest child and son of Nathan and Mary Ann "Polly" HUDSON BELLAH, was born OCT 1837 in Randolph County, Arkansas and died 1 JUL 1933 in Randolph County, Arkansas. He married Caroline Jane HODGE on 17 APR 1861 in Randolph County, Arkansas. Caroline, daughter of Richard S. and Matilda HODGE, was born abt 1842 in Alabama and died between 1880 and 1884 in Randolph County, Arkansas.

Elba married second to Martha M. LAUGHERY on 19 OCT 1884 in Randolph County, Arkansas.

The burial sites of Elba, Caroline and Martha are unknown at this time.

Company D, First Arkansas Regiment 30-Day Volunteers, CSA: This company was organized at Pocahontas, Randolph county, Arkansas, by Captain Thomas S. Simington. The company enlisted for 30 days on November 15, 1861, and was discharged on December 15, 1861, at Camp Borland, near Pocahontas, Arkansas. Most of these men were from Randolph county. Being a local company, they were not entitled to transportation back to their homes. Some of them subsequently enlisted in the 25th and 38th Arkansas Infantry Regiments. Bellah, Elba—Private; later served in Co. H, 38th Arkansas Infantry.
