Ganium Magby MCDOWELL, fifth child of William and Jane COLLINS ROBINSON MCDOWELL, was born 26 JAN 1851 in Marshall County, Alabama, and died of "cramp colic" (appendicitis) on 19 JAN 1907 in Ripley County, Missouri. Ganium married Sarah WEBB on 5 APR 1874 in Ripley County, Missouri. Sarah died before 1886 in Ripley County, Missouri.
Ganium married second Amy Jane LASSEN on 24 JAN 1886 in Ripley County, Missouri. Amy, daughter of Emil Eutychius and Rebecca Jane JORDEN LASSEN, was born 25 JUN 1858 in Ripley County, Missouri, and died of "consumption" (tuberculosis) 11 JUL 1915 in Ripley County, Missouri.
Ganium, Sarah and Amy are all buried in Macedonia Cemetery, Ripley County, Missouri

"G. McDowell died last Saturday morning in Grandin after a 5 week illness. Leaves wife, 9 children, 5 of whom are dead. Rev. Tom Ezell preached service at Macedonia school house Sunday morning. Burial at Macedonia Cemetery."
