Your Face
My senses dulled, the silence deafening,
I could only hear faint sounds,
The water crackling against the rocks,
The sand parting as I walked,
The trees rustling in the background,
The scent of the water was faint,
As was the smell of the sand,
The cool air whisked against my face,
It was dark, but I could see the moon
Set off in the distance, calling to me,
Lighting the sea, in streaks of white,
The beach barely visible,
More than a few feet in front of me,
But still I walked, on and on,
Looking for an answer,
A reply, a response,
Anything that would explain,
These feelings to me,
The only vision that had any detail,
The only answer that made sense,
As I walked on, the only sight,
That I could see brightly,
Was your face!
