Info on Yamcha
Yamcha is a longtime friend and ally of Goku's that possesses great fighting spirit. He is usually accompanied by his devoted cat companion Pwar, and he is characterized by his intense fear of women. He is anxious and willing to be trained by Kami and to join the battle against the Saiya-Jins, even though he understands that the odds are against them. In the heat of the battle Yamcha volunteers to fight the Saibamen instead of Krillin because Krillin already been brought back to life by the Dragon Balls once, which is the limit.
Yamcha still has an attraction for Bulma but stood her up the last time he had a date with her because he didn't have enough money to take her out. Thus, he is hesitant to see her again. Bulma apparently forgives this and contemplates marraige to him, but then Yamcha is eliminated by the Saibamen. Fortunately for Yamcha, he can be brought back to life by the Dragon Balls. But later on, Vegeta marries Bulma.
