Victorian Glitter Frame

First I want to thank Jewell for letting me use part of a tutorial she wrote for the Glitter Effect. Jewell you are wonderful person to do this. Jewell has a tutorial on Glitter Text you may go to her site here:

This tutorial I hope helps you find how to add to another tutorial or redo a tutorial the way you see it. If it encourages you to step out and try something different with tutorials you find then it has succeeded in making you expand your PSP skills.


What you will need to do this Tutorial:
1. PSP 7
2. You will need a glitter gif. Please go this site and pick a color you want for your frame. You can save the one you select I used White Silver make sure you save it as gif file. Or you can Copy the one you select and then go to PSP right click your mouse and paste as a new image and use it from there.

3. Frame Tube Swirly Curly by GGK please download and unzip. Open in PSP.

4. Tubes used in tag. Download and open in PSP.

Let's Get Started

1. Open a 400x400 Transparent Image.
2. Click on GGK Swirly Curly Frame. Go to Edit>Copy.
3. Click on transparent image to make it active Go to Edit>Paste As A New Layer.
4. Your frame will be too large for your transparent image. Go to Image>Resize. Click on pixel size and type in 75%. Make sure the box below Resize All Layers doesn't have a check mark. Click Ok.
5. Go to Selections>Select All.
6. Go to Selections>Float.
7. In the top Color Palette select solid color White.
8. Flood fill the marching ants.
9. This is all we will do with the frame at this time. Deselect the ants. Selections>Select None.
10. Open Tube Vict 8 by C_C.psp Go to Edit>Copy.
11. Click on working image to make it active. Go to Edit>Paste As A New Layer. Make sure you paste as a new layer when asked to in the tutorial or you will have problems upon animating your tag.
12. Go to Layers>Arrange>Move Down. The Victorian Lady should be just behind the frame.
13. Open Calle Lily tube by K K Go to Edit>Copy.
14. Click on working image to make it active. Go to Edit>Paste As A New Layer. Move Lily where you decide.
15. At this point we won't add any more tubes if you want please add them now so we can work on the frame to set it up for animation.
16. Go to the Layer Palette and click on Layer 3 and 4 eye glasses you want to hide the lady and Calle Lily. High light Layer 2 the Frame Layer.
17. Go to Selections>Select All.
18. Go to Selections>Float.
19. In top Color Palette select Pattern. When pop up window appears select the glitter you selected from the site above. I set the Scale to 50% and Angle 0. Flood fill your marching ants.
20. Deselect the marching ants. Selections>Select None.
21. Click on Layers 2 and 4 so they appear again on the tag.
22. Go to Layers>Merge>Visible.
23. Go to File Save As>VG1.psp make sure you are saving it as a tube.
24. Go to Edit>Undo till you have the frame back to the white flood fill and Layers 2 and 4 with Red X's so they don't show.
25. With the marching ants around the white frame click on the top Color Palette with your glitter selected and change the Scale to 75% and Angle 0. Flood fill the ants.
26. Repeat Steps 22 through 23. Only this time when you save the image after merging visible Go to File>Save As>VG2.psp.
27. Repeat Step 24 first. Then repeat step 25. This time change the Scale to 100% and Angle 0. Go to File>Save As>VG3.
28. By this time you should have VG 1, VG 2, and VG 3 saved as tubes. You are now ready to animate your tag.
29. Go to File>Jasc Products>Launch Animation Work Shop.
30. Go to File>Animation Wizard. You will receive a series of pop up windows.
31. First Pop Up Same size as first frame image click next.
32. Second Pop Up Transparent checked click next.
33. Third Pop Up Upper Left Hand Corner and Canvas Color should be the only ones checked. Click next.
34. Fourth Pop Up Yes, repeat animation indefinitely. Type in 10 in the little box. Click next.
35. Fifth Pop Up Click on Add Image you will receive another Pop Up find where you saved the 3 tubes click on VG 3 holding down the shift key select VG 1 click open. They should be right in order in the box VG 1, VG 2, and VG 3 starting at the top. Click next.
36. Sixth Pop Up click Finish. You will see 3 frames across the screen.
37. Go to Animation>Resize Animation. Pixel size should be checked type in 300x300 make sure Aspect Ratio at the bottom is checked. Click ok.
38. Go to View>Animation. The frame should be sparkling.
39. Go to File>Save As>(Name your tag)>make sure you save it as a .gif.
You have completed the animated Glitter Frame I hope you enjoyed it and be sure to go to Jewell's site and do your signature in glitter animation. You will love it.
