Intermediate Level

This tutorial is to encourage you to use the preset shapes tool and to just have fun. Hopefully you will learn something new.


What you will need to do this tutorial:
1. PSP 7
2. Eye Candy 3.0 If you don't have this plug in just use your drop shadow with settings you like.
3. Graphic and Tubes. Download and open in PSP.
Download Here
4. Preset Shape. Download and unzip to PSP Shape folder.
Download Here

Let's Get Started

1. Open a 400x400 Transparent Image
2. Go to top color palette select solid color white. Make sure bottom color palette has the no sign (nothing showing)
3. Click on preset shape tool in tool option box select jd paisley 12
Settings antilias checked and size 8
4. Go to Layers>New Rastar click ok
5. Start in the upper right hand corner of transparent start drawing the shape cover as much of the transparency you can
6. Go to Selections>Select All
7. Go to Selections>Float
8. In top Color Palette select a green you would like to use I used #104D2B. Flood fill the marchings
9. Go to Effects>3D Effects>Inner Bevel select Soft Preset the leave the settings as is. 10. Deselect the marching ants Selections>Select None
11. Click on Magic Wand and click inside the sections that are still transparent inside the green line
12. Go to Layers>New Rastar>Click ok
13. Go to Selections>Modify>Expand>type in 3 click ok
14. Select the pattern or color you want to use inside of the pouch. I used gold on the outside section and the color I used for the inner pouch #598546. Flood fill both sections with your choice. The gold and green are in the zip file up above so you can just get pattern for the gold in top color palette and use your eye dropper tool to get the green
15. Go to Selections>Float
16. Go to Effects>3D Effects>Cut Out settings V&H 0 Opacity 50 Blur 30 color black click ok
17. Deselect the marching ants Selections>Select None
18. Open Leprachaun tube go to Edit>Copy
19. Click on working image to make it active go to Edit>Paste As A New Layer. Move the Leprachaun on the right side on the higher step of pouch
20. Open up tube Leprachaun tube number 2 go to Edit>Copy
21. Click on working image go to Edit>Paste As A New Layer
22. Go to Layer Palette and click on the eye glasses on the bottom layer and the 2nd layer all you should have showing is the two leprachauns
23. Go to Layers>Merge>Visible
24. Go to Layer Palette take the red x off all the layers. Make sure the layer named merged is the active layer
25. Go Effects>Plug Ins>Eye Candy 3.0>Drop Shadow setting in the Last Used box select Soft bring the opacity down to 40 click on the check mark
26. Open the SVDM Gold Dust tube. Go to Edit>Copy
27. Click on the working image to make it active go to Edit>Paste As A New layer. Move the tube between the two leprachauns
28. Go to Layers>Arrange>Move Down
29. Go to Effects>Plug Ins>Eye Candy>Drop Shadow use the same settings as step 25
30. Go to layer palette and high light the top layer which should be your layer named merged
31. Open tube Leprachaun Crossing Cat go to Edit>Copy
32. Click on working image go to Edit>Paste As A New Layer
33. Go to Effects>Plug Ins>Eye Candy 3.0>Drop Shadow use same settings as in step 25
34. Open tube St Pat 8 go to Edit>Copy
35. Click on working image go to Edit>Paste As A New Layer
36. Go to layer palette and move this Layer below the gold star layer
37. Go to Effects>Plug Ins>Eye Candy>3.0>Drop Shadow same settings as in step 25
38. Go to layer palette and high light the top layer
39. Open tube Bag Of Wishes go to Edit>Copy
40. Click on working image go to Edit>Paste As A New Layer. Move into place and do the same drop shadow as in step 25
41. Open Leprachaun Crossing Clover In Pot go to Edit>Copy
42. Click on working image go to Edit>Paste As A New Layer
43. Apply the same Drop Shadow as in step 25
44. Go to Layers>New Rastar click ok
45. Click on Text Tool when pop up window appears select the kind of type, color and size. Type in what you would like it to say. Add a drop shadow in step 25
46. Go to Layers>Merge>All Flattened
47. Go to Image>Resize settings Pixels checked no number larger than 300x300 both boxes at bottom checked. 48. Now you add your name or anything else you would like at this time
