Intermediate High Level

Being the Victorian lover I am I wanted to create something a little different on the frame image of the graphic. I found this rose texture and fell in love with it. So here is the tutorial from that texture. Have Fun!


What you will need to do this tutorial:
1. PSP 7
2. The tubes, graphic, and mask I used for this tutorial please unzip and have open in PSP.

3. The Rose texture please unzip and download into your Paint Shop Pro Texture file.
Download Here

If you use your own graphic please make sure you resize it now with no size on Pixel larger than 300 or you will have trouble with the canvas sizing below. Thank you.
Let's Get Started

1. Open the graphic image or one of your own choosing
2. In the bottom Style Box select Solid Color White
3. Go to Image>Add Borders Symmetric checked Size 3 click Ok
4. Open the silver background
5. Go to Top Style Pallet select Pattern. When pop up window appears select the silver background
6. Click on the white border with Magic Wand
7. Flood fill the marching ants with the silver background
8. Go to Selections>Invert
9. Go to Effects>3D Effects>Cut Out

Settings
Vertical 4
Horizontal 4
Opacity 60
Blur 20
Color Black
Click Ok

Repeat this step changing the vertical and horizontal to minus -4
10. In the Top Style Box click on Solid pick a color from the graphic of your choice with the Dropper
11. Make sure the Bottom Style Box is still solid white
12. Go to Image>Add Borders>Symmetric Size 8
13. Select the white border with the Magic Wand
14. Flood fill the ants with the solid color you choose from the graphic
15. Go to Effects>Effects>Blinds

Settings
Width 3
Opacity 15
Color Black
Light for left/top checked only
Click Ok

16. Deselect the ants Selections>Select None
17. Go to Image>Add Borders Symmetric Size 3
18. Select the white border with the magic wand
19. In the top Style Pallet select Pattern>Silver Background
20. Flood fill the ants go to Selections>Select None
21. Go to Image>Canvas Size

Settings
New Width 300
New Height 375
Center Image Vertically and Horizontal both checked
Click Ok

22. Click on the white border with the Magic Wand
23. Go to Textures under the Style pallet on the left of your screen in the top box select Texture
24. Click on the texture and there will a pop up screen appear select the texture Roses
25. In the top Style Box select the solid color you had chosen in Step 10
26. Flood fill the marching ants you will see a light tint of roses appear in the white border
27. Go to Selections>Float
28. Go to Effects>3D Effects>Cut Out. Use the same settings as in step 8
29. Deselect the ants go to Selections>Select None
30. In your Texture box on the left side of your screen please select null
31. Go to Image>Add Border Symmetric Size 3
32. In the top Style Pallet select Pattern and chose the silver background pattern again
33. Select the white border with the Magic Wand
34. Flood fill ants with the Silver
35. Deselect the ants go to Selections>Select None
36. Go to Image>Add Borders Symmetric Size 8 click ok
37. Select white border with the Magic Wand
38. Flood fill with the solid coloring you have been using
39. Go to Effects>Effects>Blinds use the same settings from step 14
40. Deselect the ants Selections>Select None
41. Go to Image>Add Borders Symmetric Size 3
42. Select the white border with the Magic Wand flood fill the ants with the Silver
43. Deselect Ants Selections>Select None
44. Image Add Border>Symmetric Size 3
45. Select the white border with Magic Wand
46. Flood fill with the solid color used throughout the tutorial
47. Effects>Effects>Textures select blinds use the settings that are there
48. Deselect Ants Selections>Select None
49. Image>Add Borders Symmetric Size 3
50. Select the white border with Magic Wand
51. Flood fill the ants with the Silver
52. Deselect the Ants Selections>Select None
53. Open the Frill tube in the download from above
54. Go to Edit>Copy
55. Click on the working image to make it active Go to Edit>Paste As A New Layer
56. Move the tube to the upper left corner with the edge ending on the last row of solid color
57. Go to Layers>Duplicate
58. Go to Image>Mirror
59. Go to Layers>Duplicate
60. Go to Image>Flip
61. Go to Layers>Duplicate
62. Go to Layers>Mirror
63. Go to Image>Resize
Setting:
Pixel Size Checked make sure no number is larger than 300 in the boxes below pixel size. Go to the bottom of the pop up window make sure that there is a check mark in resize all layers and maintain aspect ratio of
