Colossians Chapter One Verse 12

Colossians 1:12 giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. [NIV]

[a] Giving thanks = eucharisteo (yoo-khar-is-teh'-o) [2168; 2170]: to be grateful, i.e. (actively) to express gratitude (towards); spec., to say grace at a meal:

[b] [g-a] unto the = tou (tou) [3588; 3739]: the feminine he (hay); and the neuter to (to); in all their inflections; the def. article; the: THAYER'S this, that, these, etc.

[c] Father = pater (pat-ayr') [3962]; a "father"

[e] hath made ... meet = hikanoo (hik-an-o'-o) [2427; 2425]: to enable, i.e. qualify: from hikanos (hik-an-os') [2425]: competent (as if coming in season), i.e. ample (in amount) or fit (in character):

[g] to be = eis (ice) [1519]: to or into (indicating the point reached or entered), of place, time, or (fig.) purpose (result, etc.)
