I gave my life to Jesus Christ at the age of 28. I was a young mother of three two sons and one daughter. My life was so full of sin, “but with one touch of the Masters Hand” - He set me free. Through this life, I have fell and stumbled, but Jesus is so faithful to me. And to all who ask to be forgiven. Christ is my life, I am so blessed, no matter what my trials. My Savior sees me through them all. It would take about 72 years to tell it all.

I love to sing. My life in Christ has afforded me many opportunities to sing with great joy in my heart, “Word Of The LORD” to all who would listen. While a member of Victory Temple, I sang in the jail ministry in Beaumont, Tx, was in the street ministry and I was faithful to the choir. it was an honor when Jan Crouch approved my demo tape and I sang on local TBN. Now I sing in the hills of Arkansas. I moved here in 1994, I’m so blessed. The LORD may close some doors in our lives, but if we stay true to Him he will always open others. For me He has opened the door to sing at “Feed My Sheep.” My home church is now Cove Revival Center of Cove Ar. So many other churches and organization, up here, have given me the opportunity sing and bless the LORD. I’m so honored Bro. Russell has opened a web-page on me. I thank the LORD for sending me out here to tell how wonderful Jesus is. I pray whoever hears and reads about me can know what a difference Jesus can make, even if we fall, He will never leave us nor forsake us. Call on the Name of Jesus, Repent turn from evil and strive to live as Christ.

Love in the LORD

Born in 1930 right after the stock market crash and having a forced interest in grasshoppers. I started my music interests when my sister decided to bless me with the lessons she received on the piano. Later my mother decided to have me get the lessons first hand from a real teacher. In the seventh grade I began lessons on the french horn and continued to play that through college. In the mean time I discovered an old Gene Autry guitar in our attic. It only had one string on it but Mom sprung for a set of strings and showed me where my brother had put the old Autry instruction book. I was off and picking! Istarted with two string chords and got the usual sore fingers but I progressed and moved up to a blond Harmony electric guitar. The I got a letter from the President of the US and a group of my friends and neighbors and presto got drafted. I had previously served six years in the National Guard as a combat engineer. Anyway I took my guitar with me at first but got too hectic trying to lug it along. The Red cross had guitars available in their recreation building and I met a man who played lead guitar at the Lousiana Hayride so I learned a bunch from him.

Got out of the Army in 1955 and started a band with a couple of friends who I had played with before army days. We found a man who played steel guitar and tried out several drummers and finally settled on a high school senior. We started out as a country band but had to play fifties rock to get any jobs. Our bands played for 15 years, got a reallly good offer but our lead singer got scared out so we disbanded. I then started giving guitar lessons at one music store while Bonnie clerked at the other music store in town. During this time I also gave free lessons to children at the Salvation Army Church and the music store furnished free student guitars to the children. Then Rick, our son, came back from New Mexico and we decided to do a father and son duo. We engaged a booking agent in Omaha and another in Lincoln Nebraska. We played about four years together and when we got flooded out by the Platte river we decided to move to Arkansas and start over. We contracted building repairs, did small appliance repair, and commercial roofing. In Mena, we played in the Lum and Abner Days when it had music in the park two solid weeks. We played backup for Rule Bain, a popular fiddler in the area. And played backup for Jana Jae the first time she played in Mena. Now Hugh os trying to make me a star at Feed My Sheep. And that's about it Russell.
