According to The Canadian Press, a small town is set to become the first municipality in Canada to ban smoking in vehicles when children are on board. The initial proposal for the Anti-smoke-in-cars bylaw came from local anti-smoking group called the Smoke Free Kings, based in Kings County. Wolfville, N.S., is known for being quiet and picturesque town, a popular tourist destination, but soon it might also be known for having one of the toughest anti-smoking bylaws in North America. The town of Wolfville, is about a hour's drive north of Halifax. Last Monday evening, town councilors had voted in favour of the bylaw, the first of its kind in Canada. They are bragging that they were the first municipal in the province to go smoke-free in indoor public places, so this is essentially is a follow-up to what they did several years ago on this Anti-smoking issue. Essentially, the town is banning smoking in vehicles while having children on board. This is being applauded by the Canadian Cancer Society, which dismissed criticism that the law is too intrusive by citing the evolution of anti-smoking laws across the country. Lucas Wide, a spokesman for Nova Scotia's Health Promotion Department, said the town council in Wolfville has the right to enact the bylaw, but the province has no plans to do the same. The Town Council said that they are going to monitor the situation and see how it develops. We're certainly not even at that point yet where we're looking or have begun discussions with the Department of Justice, as to how it could potentially work. So who do they plan will enforce this new bylaw, the R.C.M.P. ? We are getting to the stage where some tobacco users will be fined, imprisoned and maby even have a criminal record because they had dared to smoke in their own car, with or without children on board, even when the window were pulled down. What will be next? Will people be forced to have smoke detectors in their vehicles? The only thing we tobacco users and people who see what this fight is really about can do at the present time, is to avoid going into that town or county. That is to by-pass it as a tourist destination. There are plenty of quiet, picturesque eastern towns along the Trans- Canada highway in Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick one can visit. These Anti-smoking group are claiming that they are doing this for the welfare of their children. I think they are just using the children to further their Anti-smoking campaign against tobacco users. I am very concerned about what these Anti-smoking groups are doing and are allowed to get away with it. I wonder who will be next targeted? This behavior of the Smoke Freak Kings, reminds me of the "witch hunts" that were headed by Protestant Christians who had demonize everything that do not conform to their view of thinking. Think that I am exaggerating? I recall that Anti-smoking Ad which depicted a woman smoking a cigarette turning into one of Satan's demons on my TV screen. Let us examine this latest phony claim that these Smoke Freak Kings- Anti-smoking group are claiming to be fighting for. They are claiming that smoking in a car while children are on board will greatly affect the children's health. Most people I know who smoke are pretty decent, laid back type of people who are decent enough to be courteous in what they are doing. When any of them have children on board their vehicle, I notice they tend to pull down the window so that the smoke from their cigarette will be drawn outside from the vehicle. I do that myself. Given that known fact, I wonder how much of a real "health" issue these Anti-Smoker groups really have? If these people who claim to be so concerned about the health of children, how come these Smoke Freak Kings had not the zeal to ban automobiles for the know hazard of the smoke coming from its exhaust fumes as they have attacked people who smoke a cigarettes, a cigar or a pipe? That's because they themselves drive their SUV or other gas driven vehicles that spew out its noxious gases. I knew these Smoke Freak Kings had to be Christians, for they are the biggest hypocrites around. Just as Christians were during the late First Century CE. As I have stated before, most of these Anti-Smoking groups like the Smoke Freak Kings, base their information upon fraudulent and exaggerated claims. Fraudulent and exaggerated claims made by doctors, Health Canada and the Canadian Cancer Society. Speaking about the Canadian Cancer Society, As a tobacco user, I will no longer donate to that organization. I am finish with them! As for me, I will not just sit by and capitulate to anyone who wants to impose their chumras on me. It's a matter of principals, of being a Canadian who is suppose to be living in a free country who will not be socially conditioned by a bunch of Christian bullies who have yet to learn that these Smoke Freak Kings, do not have the right to infringe upon my "rights" or impose and force their wild chumrasa on a segment of Canadian society who still have the freedom to choose the lifestyle they want for themselves. I do not mind anyone pointing out something they may feel may be wrong, or is not a good thing to do, but when I am forced by some Municipal bylaw, then I start pushing back against those who would strip the freedoms I had once enjoyed in this country, this Canada, The Land of the Free, which is turning into a Dictatorship. That is not what those brave Canadian men and women who fought and helped to defend that freedom during the first and second World War. I remind these Anti-Smoking groups that the vast majority, the greatest percentage of them, be they from the Army, Navy or Air Force, were tobacco users who enjoyed to have a cigarette in restaurants, bowling alleys, cinemas, bars and most anyplace they happen to be, without having people like these Smoke Freak Kings blowhards, pointing an accusing finger at them. I can only hope that there is someone out there with a good, fair minded, legal mind, or a Magistrate from within the Supreme Court, who can do something about our Constitution and give all Canadians such rights and freedom I have already outlined in a previous article (page 13) so that it will challenge these Anti-Smoking groups and their Municipal Governments from passing such restricted bylaws and by doing so, protect Canadian citizens, from the likes of these Smoke Freak Kings morons. At first this whole Anti-Smoking campain started when it began by puting warning lables on all tobacco products. But that was not good enough for these Smoke Freak Kings type blowhards. They then have managed to get provincial regulations to ban advertising tobacco products. But that was not enough for these Anti-Smoking groups. They then have managed to get Federal and Provincial regulations to ban smoking in all indoor public places and workplaces. These Anti-Smoking lobby groups got town, city, Provincial and Federal regulations to ban smoking in restaurants, pubs and private clubs, offices, malls, conference centres, arenas, community halls, government buildings vocation schools, public hospitals and health care facilities, universities, colleges, public athletic and recreational facilities. They have managed to ban smoking outdoors in no-smoking buffer zones around public buildings that a person has to almost leave the property to have a smoke. But the parking lots are full of automobiles which spews out its noxious exhaust fumes. All what was done in their attack against people who indulge in tobacco use was not good enough for these Smoke Freak Kings type morons. They then went after a ban from displaying tobacco and related products in stores. But that was still not good enough for these Anti-Smoking lobby groups. They then got Federal and Provincial Governments to ban anyone under the age of 19 from buying cigarettes or tobacco products. What I have noticed these past years that the only reason these Anti- Smoke Freak Kings have gotten away with all this so far, is because tobacco users are a bunch of pretty decent, laid back type of people who have not made much of a fuss over this whole Anti-Smoking campaign. The time has come when tobacco users have to realize that to people like these Smoke Freak Kings, and other Anti-Smoking lobby groups and what their campaign is about, it is a war against tobacco users, and they have no intention to stop now. As these Anti-Smoking groups had stated; "Much more can be done in the war against smoking". This is the reason we tobacco users need to fight back. This is the reason why I am now writing these articles on my web site. If people think that I am doing this just for myself, they would be dead wrong. For I intend to grow my own tobacco for my personal use, when I have my log cabin in the wilderness. No more high tobacco tax for me! Unfortunately for me, I am in no financial position to do that right now. The reason I had strongly suggested to all tobacco users right across Canada, not to take this kind of discrimination from these Smoke Freak Kings lightly, because to them, this war against tocacco users has only begun. You can by now see where all this is leading to. Now is the time to stand up and challenge these morons. Do not allow these people to discriminate and infringe upon your choice or lifestyle. I am appealing to not only to tobacco users, but to all Canadians who want to retain the kind of country we once knew. A free, caring, easy going type of people who are against those who want to rule the world and enslave people to their whims. We need to realize that we are presently slipping towards a dictatorship society and a Fascist form of Government. If we fail to be vigilant now, Canadians are going to wake up one day and find out that they have lost some of their rights and freedoms which they had enjoy. It is for these reasons, every Canadian, need to take a stand against the likes of those Smoke Freak Kings now, and not allow this kind of discrimination and infringements to continue upon tobacco users.
