I also read in the news that Iran had halted its nuclear weapons programme in 2003 and has not restarted it since. This is a stunning new revelation, given that President Bush had repeatedly gave warnings about Iran becoming a nuclear power which could lead to a nuclear third world war. That the US and Israel had to confront this danger before it is too late. This new revelation contradicts an assessment made by the United States that Tehran was making nuclear weapons. This revelation has once again undercut the credibility of President Bush. His repeated warnings that Iran was making nuclear weapons and that a nuclear third world war was imminent were found to be false. According to C.B.C. news, U.S. President George W. Bush refused to be deterred by the United States intelligence agencies report that suggests Iran has halted its bid to build nuclear weapons, insisting that the new information only proves how much of a threat Iran is. It seems to me that any rational person view the report that Iran had halted its nuclear weapons programme in 2003 and has not restarted it since then would not see Iran is a threat, as George W. Bush claims. But then, who would in their right mind sugguest that George W. Bush is a "rational" person?
On the weather front, we are having a break from that severe snowstorm which has dumped a good amount of snow in Haileybury and the surrounding area. We are still digging out from that snowfall, though we came out of it in fine form. People in southwestern Ontario, as far east as Oshawa and north to Barrie, are being warned that snow squalls will continue to be a risk. Snow squalls are also possible in the Fort Albany area on James Bay. In the far north, various communities such as Nunavut are facing blizzard warnings. Those include Arviat, Cambridge Bay, Resolute and Cape Dorset.
"A lot of us can't abide the fact that 45,000 Canadians die every year because they became addicted to sour and smelly little death sticks that eat away at their hearts and lungs". This statement is one of many lies these Anti-smoking, anti-tobacco advocates are spreading.
"Smoking amounts to more deaths each year than Canadians had died during the entire six years of Second World War combat. Here is another blatant lie these Anti-smoking, anti-tobacco advocates are spreading that is not only ridiculous, but also baseless.
By comments like these, it is plain to see that smokers are the new "coloured" citizens, coloured by their freedom of choice for a lifestyle that these "Anti-smoking, anti-tobacco advocates" has decided to target and "socially demoralize", and "demonize" tobacco users. Across Canada, local chapters of tobacco users associations are starting to crop up and are leading the charge in fighting municipal bans on smoking. Some anti-smoking advocates are claiming that Canada's fight against the ban on smoking is being directly or indirectly funded by tobacco companies. That kind of statement in just another one of their lies that they are spreading around. Tobacco users are not being funded by any tobacco companies. This is a fight to protect tobacco users from unreasonable and oppressive laws that are being perpetuated by the Anti-smoking, anti-tobacco advocates. These people have a propensity to lie in order to defend their stance. Such is the make-up of these anti-smoking advocates.
Here is another way these anti-tobacco advocate groups deceive people. First, they ask the question... "Does second hand smoke (SHS) actually cause diseases"? Notice how they do not use the word Cancer? They answer their question with an affirmative, Yes. and add, "And it can also kill you". Then they slip in a false claim like this.... It is estimated that over 800 non-smoking Canadians died of coronary heart disease in 1997, attributable to exposure to SHS in the home.[1] Data from 1994 indicate that 336 non-smoking Canadians died from lung cancer as a result of SHS exposure.[2] Health Canada[3] reports that more than 1,000 non-smokers will die this year in Canada due to tobacco use - over 300 lung cancer deaths and at least 700 deaths from coronary heart disease will be caused by second-hand smoke. Few issues have been subject to as many scientifically rigorous reviews as SHS. James Repace, internationally recognized health physicist and SHS consultant, provides a summary of scientific consensus.
Then they publish a report like this; "…the EPA Report on Passive Smoking is just one of a sea of authorative reports by expert panels of the Surgeon General. In 1993, the U.S. EPA published a major report on the effects of second-hand smoke, based on a thorough review of all the scientific literature. The Report states;
Of the 4,000 chemicals identified in SHS, 69 of them are carcinogens, including benzene, cadmium, formaldehyde and toluene.[4] Of these 69, 11 are known human carcinogens, 7 are probable human carcinogens, and two suspected carcinogens have yet to be evaluated by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC). In 1992 the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) classified SHS, or environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) as a "Group A" (known human) carcinogen. This ranking places SHS in the same EPA classification for the most deadly cancer-causing substances, including arsenic, asbestos, benzene and vinyl chloride. There is no known safe level of exposure for these substances. In 2002 a group of 29 experts from around the world was convened under the auspices of the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC, an agency of the World Health Organization). After carefully reviewing all of the available evidence, the group determined that SHS does indeed cause cancer. The agency went on to classify second-hand tobacco smoke as a Group A human carcinogen.
Sound familiar? What these anti-tobacco advocate groups do not tell you is that; On July 1998, a U.S. District Court judge in North Carolina ruled that the same EPA report that was mentioned above, had failed to follow scientific procedure in reaching its conclusions about the link between cancer and second-hand smoke. The report was found to be invalid. I have found that these anti-tobacco advocate groups use the very same tactics of lies and deception as do Christians when they try to defend their apostate Christian religion. This is not surprising to me, because the majority of their members who head these anti-tobacco advocate groups are Christians. Just as those who were involved in the Temperance Movement, which was headed by Protestant Christians who were totally against drinking alcohol. These anti-tobacco advocate groups are professionals at lying and using deception as part of their bag of tactics they use. After all, they have almost two thousand years of practice to hone their art of lying and using deception to con people into converting to Christianity.
I read that the deportation of Laibar Singh, who had entered into Canada with a forged passport, was delayed by a thousand Sikhs at the Vancouver International Airport. When Singh was caught trying to get into Canada in 2003 on a forged passport, he claimed that he sought refugee status on the grounds that he would be persecuted by police in Punjab, India. While Singh was being escorted by immigration officials, around 1,000 people, mostly Sikhs, had protested his scheduled deportation at the Vancouver International Airport's departures terminal Monday morning. Sikh protesters were blocking Laibar Singh from entering the airport terminal. They had blocked traffic and caused delays for other air passangers who were trying to get to the terminal. The removal order for Singh has been delayed for "safety and security reasons," Derek Mellon, a spokesman for the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) told CBC News from Ottawa Monday afternoon. Singh had suffered a massive stroke in 2006 that left him a quadriplegic and unable to care for himself. He was first scheduled to be deported on July 8, 2007, but had eluded the federal government immigration officials by hiding himself at a Sikh temple where the Kalgidhar Darbar Sahib Society was located in Abbotsford B.C. The Canada Border Services Agency then arrested Singh on Aug. 13 at an Abbotsford, B.C., hospital, after he had left the Sikh temple to seek medical attention. Singh has since argued that he will die if he is deported to India because he won't be able to get proper medical treatment. In the city of Chandigarh, they have the Chandigarh Administration National Rural Health Mission to provide health services at the doorsteps of villagers. There is also the Fortis Healthcare center in the city of Chandigarh and also a Hospital. In Punjab, they also have the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare under the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS). Recently, a Health Dept team made a visit to the Amb Sahib colony where a survey of the Amb Sahib Colony was carried out by officials of the Health Department. Family Welfare Programs; With the multiple efforts of the State Government especially in terms of improvements in the standard of living and availability of medical facility. The city of Amritsar is located in the northwest part of India in the State of Punjab. It is home to the Golden Temple, and is the spiritual and cultural centre of the Sikh religion. They have the Guru Nanak Dev Hospital. It has been developed as a world-class health care institution with ultra-modern super specialties. Consultants in the field of hospital infrastructure had been engaged for the facelift of the hospital and soon it would emerge as one of the leading health care institutions of India. Given this information, Laibar Singh's claim that he will die if he is deported to India because he won't be able to get proper medical treatment is a lie. Do not forget that Singh had entered this country with a forged passport. A forged passport do not come cheap, they cost a lot of money and time to obtain one. It is obvious that Singh had deliberately planed to enter this country illegally when he had left India to come to Canada. For a people who claim to be religious, what a bunch of hypocrites these people are!
I read that Canada continues to be on the receiving end of criticism during the UN (Big Brother, New World Order Crowd) climate change summit in Bali, Indonesia because of its position on the issue. UN climate chief Yvo de Boer, who met with Environment Minister John Baird Monday, questioned Canada's call that developing nations like China and India also need to accept binding emissions before Canada will fully comply. In the meantime, Ontario, Premier Dalton McGuinty accused the federal Conservatives of "hindering" the fight against greenhouse gas emissions. McGuinty said that; "We shouldn't be dragging our feet. We shouldn't be reluctant. We should be ambitious. What Canadians want their government to do is lead on this score, and we're not leading, we're following. Worse than that, we're hindering''. In a letter to Prime Minister Stephen Harper, McGuinty called for Canada to agree to "deep and absolute emission reductions'' at the conference. I wonder what ever happened to that McGuinty plan he had back in October where he was going to allow the use of low-speed electric vehicles in the province. He did say that he didn't want the current rules to be an "impediment" to what's viewed as an environmentally friendly transport technology. He did say that he wants to find a way to ensure that our regulations don't become an impediment from using electric cars (LSV) like the ZENN cars or their equivalents, from being on Canadian roads, because that is the right thing to do for the environment which will drasticly cut down on greenhouse gas emissions. Speaking about Premier Dalton McGuinty, he stated that; "Smoking in cars carrying young passengers is "reprehensible'' given the dangers of second-hand smoke". During the recent Ontario election campaign, the Liberals didn't promise to ban smoking in cars with kids, and McGuinty ruled out the idea just a few months ago, calling it a slippery slope. But as these Anti-smoking advocates rally around a private member's bill which would give police the right to pull people over for smoking in a car with passengers under the age of 16, McGuinty now says he's open to the idea. Yes; The "New World Order Police State" is not that far off now. I notice that many of these Anti-smoking advocates now call themselves "Health advocates". If these so-called "Health advocates" are so concerned about the health of our Canadian Citizens, why have they not banned buses, trucks, trains, automobiles, jet liners, snowmobile, outboard, inboard motors and all other products that run on gasoline or diesel? Lets make a little experiment, shall we? Have a room full of tobacco smokers and they will walk out none the worse for ware. The worse can be said is that they would smell of tobacco smoke. Have a room full of people, filled with auto exhaust fumes, and you will find these people all dead! These anti-smoking or health advocates sure talk a lot about wanting to safegard the health of Canadian Citizens, but do very little about it when it will have a direct impact upon them and cramp their personal living lifestyle. What a bunch of hypocrites!
