Quite a list, Huh? The Israeli people can only blame themselves for having alowed all of the turmoil, heartache, misery, and the killing of Israeli people to have taken place during all the years Israel had become a nation. All of this could have been avoided. It had been the Israeli people, along with the governments that they had elected, who had failed to do what had to be done. They could not accept the plain facts that trying to negotiate with the majority of these Palestinian people in a road map for peace, would have only lead to a dead end. It had been proven, time after time, that the vast majority of Palestinians are a miss-guided fanatical group of people who only want to see the Israeli people dead. How many more deaths, heartaches, misery and turmoil will have to take place before the Israeli people will finally wake-up to that fact? GOD only knows.

SNOW, SNOW and more SNOW.

Feb.16th/2006 This morning the weather forcaster is calling for a snow storm that will hit our area later this evening. Given that we had already received an large amount of snow in a relatively short time, I was a bit concerned about the tent-cabin on the Island. I figure that there must be at least three feet of snow on the roof of the tent-cabin by now, and with the snow that is expected to come with this snow storm , I do not think the tent-cabin can withstand much more weight of snow on its roof. So I donned some heavy clothing and put on my ski's and headed out to the Island. What a beautiful, sunny day it is. I do not even feel cold in this -17 degree weather. I notice that after a while, walking through this snow, my hip joints ache a bit which cause me to have to stop and rest a bit. But I push onward and after an hour and then some, I had reached the Island. I notice that the tent-cabin is still standing upright with four feet of snow on its roof. I could not help feel a little sense of pride that my handy-work on the tent-cabin can withstand that amount of weight from that snow which is bearing on it. After I had a smoke and rested up a bit, I started clearing the snow away from the roof with my ski pole. After an hour, all the snow was off the roof. I just undercut the snow along the base of the tent-cabin's rounded roof and the snow just tumbled down in huge chunks, taking all that weight away with it. After this task was done, I went inside the tent-cabin to have a look around. I notice that someone had come and used the facilities. That made me feel good that it is being used. They were young people from New Liskeard, according to the note they had left. I am glad that they had a good time here. After I rested up a bit, I donned on my ski's and headed back to Haileybury. The southern sky looks darkish and I know that storm which is coming is not too far off. After I got back to my apartment, I made some coffee and had a smoke while I rested my aching hip joints. Overall, its been a good run and I feel better now that all that snow is cleared away from the roof of the tent-cabin.

REVISING THE GUN LAWS, AND OTHER THINGS.

Feb.20th/2006 Once our newly formed PC government gets settled in, another issue that will soon come up is the handgun laws. They will be tackling to do away with the present gun registration program. Personally; I would not mind if they reverted back to the old registration program we had before the present one was inacted. All it had cost was $10.00 for a firearm acquisition card, which a person had obtained from the local RCMP detachment. An automatic registration program can be had, from which the firearm would be automatically registered at a central computer data bank from the point of sale at firearm . As for handguns, I am in full agreement that all handguns should be banned. The only exception would be to law enforcement officers and border guards. The problem about handguns is that they can be so easily concealed upon a person. Handguns have no place on our city streets in which will endanger the general public. There is no valid reason that the general public really need to have a handgun. But I also think that shotguns or hunting rifles of the average caliber for hunting game, should be left alone and not be restricted. When a person is camping or working in the bush, the wilderness, it is comforting to have a shotgun or rifle on hand in case a bear, as in the eastern provinces, or a bear or cougar, in the west, may want to attack such a person. They can at least shoot off a warning shot that may be all the convincing the bear or cougar would need to prevent an attack. Also, people will be able to continue to hunt in the wilderness, as our ancestors had done. I hope our present government will think very hard about banning the use of handguns altogether. An automatic ten year jail sentence for using a handgun in a crime would not go astray as a major deterrent to the use of a handgun, I would think.

SELLING AMERICAN PORTS TO ARABS.
I have heard of some real stupid ideas in my time, but what I hear going on in the US has to top it all. Would you believe that they plan to allow some of their major ports in the United States to be taken over by a company owned by the United Arab Emirates? Yes; The company DP World is planning to take over some major ports in the US. A Moslem government owned company in which a bunch of Moslem people from that nation had taken part in the destruction of the Twin Tower buildings and the Pentagon. Talk about terrorists having a gateway into America via through some of their major shipping ports. Is this George W. Bush clever strategy to combat terrorism? Well, that is what is in the works according to CNN, a US news broadcaster. George W. Bush claims that the United Arab Emirates are real friendly towards the US and America is not at risk in having the United Arab Emirates take comtrol of these ports. But in these uncertain times, the question is, will this regime remain a friendly nation ten years from now or when that government will be deposed by a more radical Islamic group? Their agents will be right on the spot to gather all the vital security measures that are in place. One day, a fright ship may have an atomic bomb, or huge quantities of sacks of TNT deep within its hold that is tied-up to a wharf in one or all of these American ports that their ships will have clear access to. No doubt it would be an unsettling thought for those Americans that would be directly affected by it. Regardless of this potential ugly scenario, if the Bush administration allows this to happen, and they will, it will be a real slap in the face to Americans and all those people who had lost their loved ones in that Muslim terrorist attack upon the US.

MIGRATION OF OUR OLIMPIC CHAMPS.

Feb.23rd/2006 I was surprised to find out that many countries give prize money to those people who had received a gold, silver or bronze medal at the Olympics. Canada does not do that for their Olympic champions. If this is the case, we can see a migration of our best Olympic athletes to those countries that are generous to those athletes who represent their country. Very few Canadians who have won a gold plated, silver or bronze medal that looks like a big metal washer that is used on some heavy equiptment will get any amount of prize money or some kind of endorsement where they will earn money from their success. Some countries as an example, give $55,000 or more to their gold medal winners, $20,000 or more to those who get a silver medal and around $10,000 for a bronze. I think Italy tops them all in giving prize money. They give their gold medal winners around $135,000. If Canada does not rectify this matter during this Olympic Game, they will find themselves with Canadian athletes that have little or no chance at all to win a medal in any other Olympic Games they may participate in. Canada will be scraping the bottom of the barrel, so to speak, for athletes that have any kind of a chance to win a medal. Watch out Canada, your best athletes will migrate to those countries where their hard work and talents are better appreciated.

MURDERING THE TRUTH

March 2nd. 2006: DOUBLE MURDER OF CANADAINS IN MEXICO;

Two Canadain people, Domenico Ianiero, 59, and his wife Annunziata, 55, from Woodbridge, Ont., who were attending a wedding for their daughter, were murdered in a vacation resort at a hotel near Playa del Carmen, south of Cancun, Mexico last month. It is believed that the murder was from a professional hit team according to what Mexican officials claim. The man and woman's throat were found slashed across their throat in a professional style according to news reports. What I find disturbing and very troubling in this whole murder case is that the manager of this Mexican vacation resort had lied to Canadian officials. The manager had said that when the double murder was first discovered, the local police had come and shut down the resort and began to investigate and questioned the resort staff and guests. A Canadian woman from Thunder Bay, who had been at that same resort at the time of the murder, had told the CTV news media that no police were there that morning or when they were leaving for the airport at 10 o'clock that morning to return to Canada. She had stated that no one had questioned her or the group she was traveling with, at the resort or at the airport. She had also stated that one of the resort guest from her group had saw the vacation resort staff cleaning the blood off the carpet that was in the hallway, before any investigation authorities had a chance to view the scene of the crime. I find it strange that not a single staff or guest at that vacation resort had not heard any sound or commotion taking place or had not been aware that something was going on while this double murder was taking place during the time this had happened. We know from the news reports that the murder did not happen while the couple were asleep in their bed since their bodies were found on the floor in their room and there was blood in the hallway. Given all that has happened so far in this murder case, given that the resort manager had lied to Canadains. The cleaning staff who had cleaned the blood off from the carpet in the hallway and the blood drops leading off down the hallway before the police or murder investigation officials could get there, thereby having done away with any valuable clues that may have been there for that murder investigation. All this lead me to believe that the resort manager and maybe even the Mexican police are covering up something in this whole incident. This is not only about a murder case, it is also about murdering the truth. That in itself is very disturbing. Given everything that has happened thus far, Mexico is not where I would want to spend my vacation.

New Mission for Canadian Troops in Afgan.

Now that the American troops have pulled out of Afghanistan, our Canadian troops have been roped-into this combat mode in taking over the combat mission where the American troops had left off. Our Canadian generals claim that they are keeping terrorist away from our shores. Yeah Right! This action will in fact give cause for the terrorist to take their action into Canada and Canadian targets overseas. We had not even been consulted about this new development. In fact we as Canadians had not even voted about such actions in Parliament. Instead, we had been lied to about this whole Afghan mission. Now I hear that Stephen Harper and our new PC government, is all gun-ho on this Afghan new combat mission. They are telling us Canadians how good it is for us to be doing this. One can say that Harper and our Canadian generals are murdering the truth because of the way they are lying to Canadians about this whole new combat mission they are involved in. I think that our Canadian generals are really thrilled about this new deal because it will give them and our troops real live combat practice rather than just playing war games they had always been taking part in. But what in the heck is going on with our Canadian troops there in Afghanistan? So far, most of the "combat" losses and casualties have been caused by driving their new combat vehicles. It seems that all the Afghan terrorist have to do is sit by and watch and laugh at our Canadian troops drive around in their armored vehicles and kill themselves in them. Who needs to fire a single shot at our Canadian troops or waste their shells when all they have to do is sit by and let our Canadian troops kill themselves off through their own stupid driving. That is one strange way to fight a war and getting rid of the Afghan terrorist. Looking at the bright side on this whole issue, our Canadian military might at long last get the much needed equipment that they so desperately need since our governments had always downgraded our military over the past fifty years. I am in full favor of this. Our Canadian military should get the best equipment available to guard our homeland and its vast territory, to help Canadians and people abroad in natural disasters and to go on Peace Keeping missions as they have always done in the past, but not for this present Afghan combat suicide mission where our troops will get bog down in this Viet Nam scenario where you can not even tell who the real enemy is in this American made war against terrorism.

REMEMBERING THE FALLEN

On March 3, 2005, RCMP constables Brock Myrol, Peter Schiemann, Anthony Gordon and Leo Johnston were gunned down on a farm by loner James Roszko, who then took his own life. May we remember the dedication, sacrifice and the dangers our men and women face who serve in our police forces all across Canada. I hope that one day, we may have a memorial statue in Ottawa, in remembrance to all the brave men and women in all of our police forces who serve our communities so well throughout the year and protect our citizens from the criminals and rogues that are among us. May we pray to the true GOD of Heaven for those brave men and women who had fallen in the line of duty, that their good deeds may be acknowledged in their book of life.

Personal view's on GOD and religions.

I have noticed some time ago that I have being doing a lot of talking on GOD and religion on this web site. That was not my original intention, but it seems that I just can't get away from that subject. My personal beef is with the clergy and preachers and their religions which they represent who have been less than honest and are deceiving people into thinking that they are guiding people to the true GOD, when in fact they are not. My beef is not with the people who I believe are the victims of the deception that these religions and its clergy or preachers had perpetrated to deliberately misinform them. I realize that most of these people who had been brainwashed into believing what they believe, are decent, kind and basically good people who try their best to do what is right, and I do not fault them for that. My personal Spiritual battle is with those people who pervert the truth as you no doubt by now are aware of, on this on-going Spiritual battle I have been involved during the past ten years. Much of what those of the Christian clergy and protestant preachers who have threw their insults and accusations at me, because I dare reveal the truth about them and the religion they represent, will be found to be liars. I am confident that I will in time be vindicated from the accusations by these morons who had spoken against me, because of what is said on my web sites dealing with various religions. But I have found my main confrontation comes from those who represent Christianity with their phony god, Je-Zeus Christ. That may be the name of their phony god, but it is not the name of the true, living GOD, the Heavenly Father who is the Creator of all that is. It is for this reason that I have decided to create a special section on my "Haileybury" web site. I had moved all the comments which I had already made dealing with religion that was in "My Little Haileybury Journal", and moved them to this new web page section. Now those people who may not be interested in the topic of religion can skip these pages from the rest of my web site. Those people who are interested in this topic can continue to read my comments on this new "GOD, Religion and the Bible" section on this web site. Have a good read.

WINTER IS COMING TO AN END

March 28th. 2006; I notice that all the ice fishing huts are being taken off the ice covered Lake Temiskaming. It is a sure sign that winter is coming to an end. We are getting some pretty warm days that the huge snow banks are now melting away at a very rapid rate. Even though Lake Temiskaming is still completely covered with ice,

it is getting to be unsafe to do much wandering on the lake now. I remember two weeks ago, I went on a ski-doo with Mike, his daughter and son. I was a passenger, and the machine was having such a hard time getting through the slush, that the drive belt finally broke. We had to get the spare belt and install it. It took us only a few minutes to do that. It seemed like we were on a sea-doo rather than on a ski-doo. Water was going everywhere and it came up to the footrest. That is how much water there was in that slush. I got off the ski-doo and walked the little way to Farr Island. We heated up some coffee and hot chockolet for the children. We spent only a hour or so, but we had a good time of it. We headed back to Haileybury and I spent the rest of the day working on my computer. All in all, I think it was quite a good run. I got a little money from my income tax rebate, so I was able to buy a digital camera. I could not get one of those $300,00 type of digital camera's, but I got one that should serve me well to display my paintings on the Internet. I dropped in at Come by Chance Treasures, which is a used goods store. Irene, and her husband, Woody run the shop. They are my dear friends who have helped me a great deal. I had asked Irene if she had any digital camera's and by some good fortune, she had one. This little digital camera I got from Irene is on the low end scale, but it will be good enough for the time being until I can afford to buy a better one. With this camera, I will be able to take load the photo's of my paintings on my computer and then display it on this web site soon. As soon as I get finished making a web page for it. I will call it "My Little Art Gallery". I know the name is not very original, but I am not trying to get brainy or fancy with this web site. I might even get to sell a painting or two on it. Will see, it is at least worth a try.

_________________________________________________________________________________

April 4th. 2006; I had finally made MY LITTLE ART GALLERY web page where people can view some of my paintings. I hope that putting my paintings on display on the Internet, I might now be able to sell my paintings so that I may be in a position to be totally independent once again. I took photo's of my paintings with this little digital camera which I was not used to it. I even managed to take a photo of myself by holding the camera up at arms length and snap a photo. I will include this on my Little Art Gallery web page. The pictures turned out all right, though I can see some glare from the varnished coating I had applied on my paintings to protect it from the moisture. I had not been able to put my paintings on the Internet when I first came to Haileybury. At that time, I was living on little Farr Island in my tent-cabin and had not been in a position to buy or have a computer or a digital camera to do what I can do now. I had lost half of my saving and all of my gear that I had brought from Toronto during that mishap of being caught in the spring rapids while I was making my way up here in my canoe. Looking back now on all that has happened to me since I had first set foot on these shores, I am eternally grateful for the people in Haileybury and the surrounding area who have helped me along the way during these past years. Hopefully, I will somehow be able to return their kindness. If people on the Internet do buy some of my paintings, I will dust off my painting case and easel and return to paint paintings once again. I had given up painting during the past two years because I could not make any kind of a living by it here. Well, it is a chance I have to take. Nothing is ever gained if a person do not at least try to explore every opportunity that may help oneself. Now that spring is here, I am now getting my camping gear ready for when the time I can once again set out to Farr Island in my canoe and continue the work on Farr Island Botanical Park during this summer season. I hope to add a couple of picnic tables this year so that people who go to visit Farr Island can make use of them. I heard on CTV news that we Canadians are going to follow the USA with changing the times of the spring and fall daylight saving time. Won't that cause a lot of problems for those people who rely on their computers in their work and business? The new changes of the spring and fall daylight saving time will conflict with the computer's time and date settings. By re-setting the clock manually when the time comes, will not solve the entire problem. For when the computer time rolls around to its normal time to re-set the clock. you will end up being two hours ahead or two hours behind. What a mess that will do to people and businesses who rely on the correct time for their schedule's. I suppose we will have to download a patch for our Windows program that will reset the computers internal clock to the right time when the new spring and fall daylight saving times will occur. If not, the changes to the present spring and fall daylight saving time is just not worth the trouble to make the change.

April 12th. 2006; Today is a special day in that I have a new friend that is living with me. He is everything I would have wanted in a dog. Let me introduce my dog to you.

He is a black lab, rather large in size, and has the well known web feet. A real water dog. Buddy is a British retriver from which the well known Newfoundland/Labradore black retriver had originated from. The British Lab is not well known. They were called the British flat coated retriver, originally it was called the Wavy-coat retriver which has longer hair than the Nfld, black Lab retriver. They were very popular with gamekeepers and sailing ships. They are excellent retrivers on land and water, and are popular as guide dogs. Buddy had already been neutered and had all his required shots from privious owners. A friend came by my place and had asked me if I was still looking for a dog to adopt. Cathy had told me that people she knew had to give up their four year old lab because they were moving, so she took him in. But Cathy has already got two dogs and one more was just a little to much to handle, so she had come to my place and asked me if I would like to have the dog. Of course I accepted the offer gratefully. I like to have a buddy around with me to share my life with. In fact, that's what I call him, Buddy. Not a very original name, but it suits him to a tee. Buddy and I will be able to take canoe trips and spend our time together on Farr Island while I work on that Farr Island Botanical Park project. I know we will have a great time together this summer. Tomorrow I will take Buddy to Temiskaming Lodge and show him to my friends. I know they will really like him as much as I do. Buddy will be going everywhere where I go. I am not one to leave the dog alone in the house, not if I can help it. Buddy and I are like two beings, so very much different, and in other ways, so very much alike. Which makes us so un-seperatable.

Subject: Daddy's Poem

Daddy's Poem

Her hair was up in a pony tail, her favourite dress tied with a bow.

Today was Daddy's Day at school, and she couldn't wait to go.

But her mommy tried to tell her, that she probably should stay home.

Why the kids might not understand, if she went to school alone.

But she was not afraid; she knew just what to say.

What to tell her classmates of why he wasn't there today.

But still her mother worried, for her to face this day alone.

And that was why once again, she tried to keep her daughter home.

But the little girl went to school eager to tell them all.

About a dad she never sees a dad who never calls.

There were daddies along the wall in back, for everyone to meet.

Children squirming impatiently, anxious in their seats

One by one the teacher called a student from the class.

To introduce their daddy, as seconds slowly passed.

At last the teacher called her name, every child turned to stare.

Each of them was searching, a man who wasn't there.

"Where's her daddy at?" she heard a boy call out.

"She probably doesn't have one," another student dared to shout.

And from somewhere near the back, she heard a daddy say,

"Looks like another deadbeat dad, too busy to waste his day."

The words did not offend her, as she smiled up at her Mom.

And looked back at her teacher, who told her to go on.

And with hands behind her back, slowly she began to speak.

And out from the mouth of a child, came words incredibly unique.

"My Daddy couldn't be here, because he lives so far away.

But I know he wishes he could be, since this is such a special day.

And though you cannot meet him, I wanted you to know.

All about my daddy, and how much he loves me so.

He loved to tell me stories he taught me to ride my bike.

He surprised me with pink roses, and taught me to fly a kite.

We used to share fudge sundaes, and ice cream in a cone.

And though you cannot see him. I'm not standing here alone.

"Cause my daddy's always with me, even though we are apart

I know because he told me, he'll forever be in my heart"

With that, her little hand reached up, and lay across her chest.

Feeling her own heartbeat, beneath her favourite dress.

And from somewhere here in the crowd of dads, her mother stood in tears.

Proudly watching her daughter, who was wise beyond her years.

For she stood up for the love of a man not in her life.

Doing what was best for her, doing what was right.

And when she dropped her hand back down, staring straight into the crowd.

She finished with a voice so soft, but its message clear and loud.

"I love my daddy very much, he's my shining star.

And if he could, he'd be here, but heaven's just too far

You see he was a policeman and died just this past year

When airplanes hit the towers and taught Americans to fear.

But sometimes when I close my eyes, it's like he never went away."

And then she closed her eyes, and saw him there that day.

And to her mothers amazement, she witnessed with surprise.

A room full of daddies and children, all starting to close their eyes.

Who knows what they saw before them, who knows what they felt inside.

Perhaps for merely a second, they saw him at her side.

"I know you're with me Daddy," to the silence she called out.

And what happened next made believers, of those once filled with doubt.

Not one in that room could explain it, for each of their eyes had been

closed.

But there on the desk beside her, was a fragrant long-stemmed pink rose.

And a child was blessed, if only for a moment, by the love of her shining

star.

And given the gift of believing, that heaven is never too far.

They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them. Send this to the people whom you'll never forget. Send this message to a friend, It's only a short message. If you're in such a hurry that you've forgotten your friends, take the time...to live and love!

Until eternity. God bless
