Here is the foot position

I have a made this trick tip in steps to learning this since I get lots of e-mails asking how to do a kickflip.

Step 1: Getting the board to spin
Place your feet like an ollie (you must know how to ollie good) except hang a little bit or all of your heel off the edge. Don't hang off more than your heel because you won't have any control over the board. Pop an ollie but slide your front foot off the edge of the board when it gets up toward the hardware bolts. Make sure your toe hits the little dip at the beginning of the nose to help flip the board and level it out. Do this until you can get at least your back foot on, then you will be ready to land it.

Step 2: Getting both feet on and landing
You will need to be able to get your back foot on almost every time. Set up like you were gonna get just one foot on. Now when you get ready to pop and flip it, you will have to jump straight above and make sure to flip it all the way. This will take a little practice. When you can jump straight up above the board and get it to flip go get into the carpet because this is the best place to learn and not worry about getting hurt. Go for a kickflip and when you jump be damn sure to jump straight above the board. Straight above the board, understand? If yo don't jump right above it you will never land a kickflip. Ok, just jump straight up, watch the board, and with some luck and skill you will magically land on it. After you land it the magical way you will be able to catch it by pushing your feet toward the board and stopping it before it has time to hit the ground.

My camera sucks, I know.

Still having problems with getting both feet on?
Ok, this is the hardest part of the kickflip. If you can get your back foot on then you are on the road to landing this darn trick. Ok, what you need to do is go get in the carpet to practice this. Now get in the position to do the kickflip and do it. When you jump, jump STRAIGHT UP!!! I can't get any clearer than that. Just jump straight above the board and high enough to let it flip. Have a friend tell you how high the board is when it is primo in the air and try to jump 4 or 5 inches above that. I am not answering anymore e-mails on how to do kickflips because I get about 3 or 4 a day. Just follow these simple to understand steps and you should land a friggen Kickflip. Jump straight up and keep your shoulders parallel with the board.
