Purple dragons orignated in the tropics. They are only female and they are the smallest dragon. Purples can energy-shock someone from gathering energy/light from lightning storms. They can also produce light with this energy. They have special nodes in their wingknuckles that allow them to collect lightning so to speak. They can only collect lightning, however, when there is lightning. It arcs across their back and into these nodes as they fly through it. It can then be stored and used later in their memory, which is more vast than any color's. They can then use the electricity to shock anything that isn't them between the nodes.
Even though my dragon is so young, we have already started training for when we will fly against the Black Eagles. We do a lot of conditioning type exercises. For instance we run 5 miles everyday, do some plyometrics (jumping) exercises, and we swim 10 miles a day. I want Yearis and I to be strong when she is old enough to fly into battle. She is too young to fly, but as soon as she can, we will be doing a lot of that too. We also play tag and hide and seek. These are good to build reflexes and chase skills plus they are just plain fun for Yaeris. She loves to play.
I hope that she gets big enough soon to fly so that I can take my revenge ont he Black Eagles.
Yaeris is now a teenager. SHe is large enough to start her flight training. I can't wait to get on her and up into the skies.

Yaeris loves to swim and it is good traingin for him. It really builds strong muscles.

This is Yaeris' first flight. He didn't get very high but it was quite an acheivement for his first try.
Here is his first landing. Not nearly as graceful as his first flight but at least no major injuries. H will learn how to make a graceful entrance eventually.
