~ Changes ~
I drive along the winding road, The curves remain the same.
The trees are gone and buildings grew, Changes sometimes are just a shame.
I miss the days when I was young, Wandering through the quiet wood.
Now filled with steel and brick and stone, Things where beautiful life once stood.
If I could change the way we made the world, I would leave the rest alone.
What we have done so far is quite enough, What we lost is forever gone.
Reuse the land and repair the world, Keep the earth a beautiful place.
If not careful soon we all will see, We have done Mother Nature a disgrace.
I have dreamt of times to go back and look, To see how things once were.
To walk amongst the trees and through the wood, When the world was fresh and pure.
Please hear my plea it's not too late, We need to find another way.
Before we go to far and kill the earth, Something I fear will happen someday.
Think of grass underfoot thats lush and green, Think of skies clear and oh so blue.
Where will they go if we dont slow down, Something I want to ask of you.
What will we tell out children then, When they have nowhere to play.
But "its our fault" amd "im sorry", is all we'll be able to say.
And look to heaven and ask for help, To save us from an awful fate.
"Please God forgive us for what we have done, Help us before it's too late."
