~ Seasons ~
Early in spring, one warm sunny morn.
Leaves were anew, birds sang free, the day when I was born.
Love filled the air like the wind in a ships sail.
I opened my eyes, began to cry, and started to tell my tale.
Happy new child with no fear or hate within my eyes.
Trusting child, no doubt, no anger, and no lies.
Growing up was fast, days were slipping into years.
To learn of hard things, to shed some early tears.

Mid summers day, life is plodding along well.
The road is bumpy, but I stood everytime I fell.
The day we met my life had changed anew.
The day we spoke and I told you "I love you."
We fell in love and shared our lives as one.
Always overcoming strife and greif, replacing it with fun.
Then the day came, I made the choice to change my life.
The words were spoken, and you became my wife.

Heading into the fall the leaves began to turn.
But ever strong inside our love remained to burn.
The road had taken a turn, a scare we both had dread.
I watched you sicken, but remained by your side upon your deathbed.
Leaves fell, tears fell, my heart had reached a low.
To watch leaves fall as they lowered you, to see you forever go.
Now living by myself, I wander again on my own.
Days grow cold, nights are long, the fire has truly gone.
................
Winter fell, my heart grew cold, I sit here all alone.
Family passed, friends have died, my life is almost gone.
I visit your grave, placing flowers there every day.
I kneel beside you crying, heart in pain, I begin to pray.
As I grow weaker, my body slowly shutting down.
Knowing soon will be my time, to rest with you under the ground.
My time came soon, I passed away, they laid me next to you.
Together in heaven reunited, forever our love staying true.

Looking back upon the life I lived, seeing the good and the bad.
Knowing the biggest joy of life was the time together we both had.
Now again I tell you in heaven, what is most dear to me.
To hold you again forever, to love you eternally......
