Please read: Exodus 35:30 - 39:43
In the book of Exodus, chapter thirty-five, each individual (artist and craftsman) seems outfitted with especial abilities from God to carry out the assignment before him in order to reach an absolute objective, the construction of the Tabernacle and so forth. The skilled individual seems to take his assignment serious without treading on the artwork of a fellow artisan. The building of the Tabernacle embraces certain measurements, color schemes, designs, and patterns from God.
The building of the Tabernacle is not by chance, but exact. The artisan and/or craftsman is skilled knowing the ends and outs of his job, hears from God or God's authority, follow directions, follows a plan, uses the best materials and so forth, with the vision and mission before him. The success of the project depends on each artisan. There seems to be no position complex.
In society today the production of certain products or the rendering of special services require the abilities of skilled artisans in their calling. Many live without their callings or in the wrong occupations, one may say. From God's perspective the authority of the Bible on arts and craftsmanship may apply to individuals working in vocations or occupations in which they have abilities, happy at doing, or are prone to do.
