Contemplating Life
Time makes me wonder.
While seasons make me fear.
Often my mind questions
The kind of life I live.

The romances are consistent--
The last one, never last.
Friendships come, and,
Suddenly they pass.
A glimpse of my reflection
(in the mirror's rear)
Causes me to catch
The sight of falling tears.

Age made me wiser
Then my heart fooled me well.
Experience brought me through it:
A life not worth the tale.
A family life so broken--
Think I it's in the genes.

Promises pay no token
Upon my declining self-esteem...
