"See, you say nothing, you hear!!"

"The Statue of David"

What was perfect is now obscene
Once were statues so grand and free
They stood as a whole in entirety
Admired for skill and artistic worth.
"David's" become a man on the beach.
Goliath reigns with morale arcane.
The weapon is chosen it's censorship.
Now we have sand within our eyes.
In place of David stands a beach goer,
A towel flung behind, Speedo adorned. It looks like an adv for iron man food
A window display for swimwear to come.
"David" is dead and buried in Cairns.
The grave is marked and desecrated. Has parting words are etched in stone
"I can't be me, for I'll offend you"
Now he can't hear the muffled wisdom.
He will not see the faded truth.
Silence is loud don't you hear.
We're becoming babies in glass bubbles.
