FAKE FRAMES and the Fake Gallery
FRAMES, a discussion;
The difference between the edge of the painting and the beginning of the wall behind it.
This all started when I had the FAKE ART GALLERY, 1971 and 1972, here in Downtown Santa Barbara. I was painting and selling but I didn't have frames for them. People demanded frames. I decided to just paint the frames on, if they were so important, being painted would make them more valuable. My best day would be when someone would say something like "Look,...that frame is just painted on".
