Again, the Ten no Ryu were another group to get mangled by the anime. You didn't see anything of their character, and things simply weren't explained. All you ever say of Karen was that she went round in somewhat unsuitable clothes. She might have explained at one point that she worked in a brothel, but I don't remember it. And she was the first one to die as well, swiftly followed by Aoki. No, it wasn't too well explained. I like it in the manga when Arashi and Aoki meet, because neither of them know that the other is a Ten no Ryu, which is cool. They aren't a prearranged group, and the slight haphazardness of it totally rocks!! My other favourite bit is at the start of Overture, when Sorata and Yuuto are fighting. The dialogue even made Marc and my mother laugh, which was amazing since neither of them really like shojo manga.
