One of our largest teapots, left, was made in
Poland. It holds about 48 ounces/1.4 litres. The handmade teapot that started the
collection, right, was purchased from a Japanese artisan at a craft fair. |

Two of our Yixing teapots. We found the one on the left,
with the filigree lid, at the Twinings teapot exhibit in Cape May, New Jersey, and use it
for green teas. The one on the right with the engraved calligraphy recently found
a new home with a fellow tea lover. |

Speaking of the Twinings exhibit, here is a picture of
the largest teapot in the collection -- and possibly the world. It holds 13½ gallons/51
litres. The largest teapot we own is a six-sided porcelain teapot with blue willow design
made by Mikasa. It holds 96 ounces. The exhibit took place between September and December,
1997. |

Le chat et le Chatsford! Our daily teapot, left,
is a Chatsford, with its built-in strainer system: perfection in design and performance.
Cats are also examples of design perfection, and we celebrate them with this teapot, right,
in the shape of a kitty. |

A bouquet of Russian
lacquer ware serving spoons and
teaspoons in a Russian tea glass with metal holder, left (also called podstakanniki,
which is Russian for "under the glass"). At right is an exquisite
handmade miniature teapot from our collection of works by artisan Malcolm Davis. |
