Mountain Experience

I have never experience, the excitement, of skiing before. Now I'm on my way to the Rocky Mountain Lodge out in
a winter wonderland. The mountain chains were so long that they continued passed the horizon. It looked like
the mountains were doing the limbo with the grayish white clouds. The snow on the mountains was like whipped
cream on a huge corrugated strawberry, while I stare up high into the clear, blue sky with a sense of fear
that stabs me like a knife in my chest. I saw birds soaring over me as I walked up the barren country side
covered by puffy, whiteness with dark-green trees that are sticking up like nails in a piece of wood. When I
reached about half way up the massif rock I was so tried, I felt that my body was drained of energy and I knew
that I wouldn't make it all the way up but I had to now. Once I completed the task of getting to the top I felt
a cold crisp wind trying to push me over but it didn't stop me. I saw threatening chain of mountains like they
wanted to devour me. I turned around and looked down; I almost died of "height." I gained all my strength and
put on long skinny skis and looked down the smooth flat bottom again as I advance down so rapidity I feel as if
I was getting younger (not closer to death), twisting and turning from left to right passing trees and hills of
pure snow that disguise what they cover. I saw a giant snow mount, and I found an eager desire to attack that
one. As I got closer and closer all my fears just vacated me. Swash! The snow felt cold against my skin and my
face as it fell behind me. I saw another cluster of snow hills and Swash! I bolted through them. Excellent. I
then came across a skier near me but on a different slope. As I pass him, I laugh because I was going faster and
faster and faster. Wack! Crash! I hit a tree. The pain was over bearing, I was sure I had shattered two or
more bones in mine twisted body. Then the light started to get darker and darker, the pain has now taken control.
When I awoke from a dream, I discovered that it wasn't a dream - I'm in a body cast in a hospital.
