Adaptation of Wu Pin ( A.D. 1568 - 1626 ) Pine Lodge Amid Tall Mountains.
The original drawing was intended to convey the irresistable force of nature, wind, water, and earth. Though there were elements borrowed from other artists work of the same general period, this is a faithful homage to Wu Pin, who was a court painter of reknown in his time. He was imprisoned for speaking against repsected authority, and lost his court position.
