In a strange twist, our new episode begins with a cliffhanger, as we find Max and Liz running from the FBI and reaching a dead end.
They jump for safety and (of course) land in each others arms. Once again, avoiding tragedy (for now).
After taking some time to profess their love (and get their clothes back on), they run off to meet the others.
All four aliens are gathered in a cave. They are trying to receive a message from their home planet.
Suddenly, what appears before them but a vision of their real parents, Mr. And Mrs. Rabbit from “Planet of the Bunnies”.
They explain that Max’s real name is “Peter”, Michael is “Flopsy”, Isabel is “Mopsy, and Tess is “Cottontail”. Their mission is to hop down the bunny trail and bring every girl and boy baskets full of Easter joy. :)
In fact their communicators are really chocolate eggs that have been hidden throughout the earth.
However, Mr. And Mrs. Rabbit warn them that they must beware of the members of the evil MacGregor family (photo from www.backsteetboys.com)
On their home planet, the MacGregors have been known to capture rabbits, turn them into chocolate bunnies, and torture them by biting off their ears (ouch!!!) In his past life, “Peter” has lost many a leather jacket and pair of khaki slacks while trying to escape from Mr. MacGregor’s clutches (much to his mother’s chagrin).
Liz has been listening in the background. Now it all made sense. No wonder she loved to nibble on Max’s ears! She knew she could no longer interfere with Max’s true destiny.
Max tries to run after her, but Michael holds him back. They have a mission now, they must be on their way down the bunny trail.
Many days later......
Easter has come and gone, but Liz still sadly sits in her Easter bonnet, holding her chocolate egg and rabbit, and thinking of Max.
Who should then appear but Max himself.
He tells Liz he has finished his mission and is now free to be with her. But what about his destiny with “Cottontail”?
As it turns out, upon completing her mission, “Cottontail” Tess got a new job at the Playboy Club. She is very content to serve drinks and meet lots of new guys. Max would only be getting in the way of her true “destiny” (and all her big tips).
Things have turned out well for “Flopsy” and “Mopsy” too. Seems their “destiny” was to start a new business painting Easter Eggs. Michael finds them much easier to work with then those “geodesic domes”. Isabel is using her nail painting skills to help with the details. Of course Michael is still with Maria, and Isabel with Alex. Could it be any other way?
True love always prevails, even in this bunny tail. You can put your fears to rest as Max shows Liz what bunnies do best!
And they lived “Hoppilly Ever After”……
