Final shine

On weary mind half shattered by dreams, melting in
colored decay, glass cities fallen upon ashen stones
cast aside by an ocean restless, I awake
upon the shores of night. Echoes taunting
memories from my mind. Crying soft lullabyes
drip from her eyes as her fingers play
upon my neck, tracing patterns as shadows
upon my skin. Tonight the winds begin in anticipation
of the coming storm. Warmed by the fires
burning the evening breeze to whispers as the
clock ticks the hours witching. To gaze upon
the sky, starless in wondering, fading to crimson
and the scent of snowflakes tempting Autumns
dying soul. The winter wild breathing
sweet for those who walk in the season of wither alone.
Calling crisp mornings and daylight to
early darkness. I hear the summer falling, the warm
days fast to fading, the leaves have ceased
their turning and winter in my heart is rising.
The chill grey fog creeps to within and without
those who pray for shelter when the frost
pervades the bones. She smiles at me outside my window.
Pray my soul awake, calling me to play.
Follow me into this dream. Safe in my arms
to walk this wonderland of white. Pulling me
away from the light and the fire, she waits
with promises, kisses the colors of the summer sky,
she smiles.
I laugh aloud from deep inside the blizzard,
fill my veins with ice and snowflakes fall
into my open eyes. Braving the storm uncovered
to taste the cold wind. My stiffened body blue
from winters deepened kisses.
Her silver hair entangles and grips
the fingers from my hands screaming
whispered pain dying as the blinding sleet
wind encloses my face to white mist burning.
She swallows my vision. Like white fire searing through my body.
Mine forever, mine forever.
Deeper beneath the falling sky, deeper into her arms.

Into winters final shine.
