Purring for PEACE

I will never forget this day. As some of you know I live far away in Germany and it was in the afternnon when meowmie heard the radio news and they said that one airplane hit the World Trade Center in New York. Then she had to return to work again. In the evening driving home from work she turned the radio on again and heard the whole horrible truth. I myself sleptthe whole afternoon and awoke when meowmie came home and turned the TV on. We both could not believe what we had to watch on the screen. It was so horrible! And there was nothing what we could do - only writing and mewing to our friends so far away to comfort them. I know it sounds naive but I hope something like this will never happen again and the stupid humans will come to their senses.

Let us all purr for
PEACE, FREEDOM and TOLERANCE

My Mom got a phone call right after she fed us girls on that terrible morning, to turn on the TV. Our country had been attacked. She could hardly move for days and nights from all the horror and devastation showing on TV. I know there was a lot of crying, a lot of praying, and a lot of anger in my house. My mom held all of us a lot but some of our meals were late. We saw that thousands of our people were dead, and watched the living ones trying to save all they could. We saw magnificent effort and bravery there in New York and Washington, and heard about some young men whose courage prevented a fourth plane's attack. One of those young men said "Let's roll", and our people all came together as they never had in my lifetime, united in dedication, and said "Let's roll." Our spirit was not broken, our freedom was not damaged, we mourned and continue to mourn, but we are strong. Our humans will continue to show American strength and determination to rid the world of the evil that did this thing. God Bless America!
