This issue commemorates the 200th anniversary of the Mutiny on the "Bounty" in 1789. The mutineers, led by Fletcher Christian, seized the ship "Bounty" after overthrowing the tyrant captain, William Bligh, a mad sadist. Bligh and some cronies were then sent off in an open boat, and eventually arrived at Occussi-Ambeno on Timor Island. Meanwhile, Fletcher Christian and crew sailed to Pitcairn Island, where they burned the ship and settled. Many of their descendents still live on Pitcairn Island today. The stamps were designed by Keith Kissell, and printed by the Occussi-Ambeno Government Printing Office (KDPN), Baleksetung, Occussi-Ambeno. All stamps are perf 12. The two stamps with denominations in kroners were for the ICIS World Headquarters in Norway, while the other two were for the two Regional Offices in New Lynn and Salt Lake City.
