Igman was a baby when I brought him home back in '93.
I had never handled a reptile before and was actually scared of the little green lizard I had just adopted.
He was equally scared of me but after much persistence we came to
be friends. Over time he gave me the one thing he could...his trust.
One night I woke up to find he had climbed into my bed and fell asleep with his chin resting on my shoulder.
During our daily walks in the sun, if he was tired and wanted to go home, he'd turn around and walk back to the apartment door and wait for me to open it.
Because he gave me his trust, I did everything I could for him in return.
Pneumonia took Igman away from me at the age of 10.
I told him before he died to remember me so that when I join him, he'll remember me and we can go for long walks again...together.

I miss you buddy. Rest in peace...
