A group of teenagers try to support each other through the difficult task of becoming adults. A visit from an old friend that is now a famous pop star doesnt make that task easy. Awesome movie, seen it once and dying to watch it again.

Slaves To The Underground - 1997 - Reviewed by Jstn
Ive never seen this one but just found it on www.imdb.com and it sounds good. A few words that stuck out were: grunge, seattle, bands, music. Sounds good, eh? To get more in depth its about a girl band, No Exits, about to get a record deal. Love, jealousy and envy threaten the band. Past lovers and current ones conflict. Hey, I've never seen it so what do you expect me to say? Lol. But I'll try to rent it soon and let you know how it was.

Romantic comedy about twentysomethings searching for love. Come on, did you think I could leave this movie out? Having Pearl Jam, Chris Cornell and Alice in Chains in the movie right there in itself makes it a killer movie. Period.

Mad Love - 1995 - Reviewed by Jstn.

To get away from the clinics and Casey's parents. To be together and to be happy. Soon after that Casey's condition worsens, Matt being scared calls her parents. Another suicide attempt by Casey, and Matt convinces her to get help. They head back to Seattle. This movie is awesome. Its in my top 5. I love it. Having 7 Year Bitch in the movie and having it based in Seattle doesnt hurt either!

Empire Records - 1995 - Reviewed by Jstn.
"This music is the glue of the world. It holds it all together." Any movie with a tagline about good music is bound to be, well, good. This is about an independent record store in dire trouble of being sold out to a large chain. After a failed attempt by Lucas, an Empire employee, to raise money with that days revenue. They have to all band together to keep the store alive, a store that they and everyone else love. A party is thrown at the store, money is rasied, and the Empire is saved. This movie is the best! I could watch it over and over all day long. Its comforting.

Weekend Movie Suggestions - For Friday June 22
Best Choice:  Fight Club - One of the best movies ever made. I love it.
New Release:  Gladiator - Usually not into these kinds of movies, but this one was awesome.
Old School:  Scarface - Al Pacino is the man, bottom line.

Last House on the Left - 1972 - Reviewed by Jstn.
Totally banned in the UK, Wez Craven's dictorial debut hit hard. Using the tagline, "To avoid fainting, keep repeating: Its only a movie...its only a movie..." This film begins when two teenage girls out looking for some pot are kidnapped by a sadistic group. After raping and killing the girls the group coincidentally ends up as housegeusts at the parents home, they are promptly murdered. The film looks a lot like a documentary, the camera's shaky and the picture itself likes a little cheap. Which in my opinion, adds a little flavor. Check out the cover here.

News Flash - 05.24.01 - Halloween 8: The Homecoming had it's first day of shooting. I have some pics so click here to see those. Apparently Jamie Lee Curtis isnt going to be in the whole movie, just at the beginning. Hmmm, interesting. If you hear anything about the movie let me know and I'll post it...

News Flash - 05.17.01 - Halloween 8 starts filming Monday, May 14. The release date is said to be this October but rumor has it that it could be pushed back a whole year because executive producer Moustapha Akkad isn't happy with the screenplay.

Cannibal Holocaust - 1979 - Reviewed by Jstn.
I haven't seen this movie yet but it sounds pretty cool. Especially to a guy like me that always appreciates a good b-movie. The concept is a lot like that of The Blair With Project and The Last Broadcast. Anyhow, getting back to Cannibal Holocaust...It's about this crew of New York filmmakers that set out to do a documentary about cannibals but soon become a part of the documentary in a pretty rough way. It isn't all presented as a documentary though. The first half of the movie shows an American expert sent into the jungle to find the lost filmmakers. Only to discover their decomposed bodies and cans of film. Well, that's as much detail as I can give you until I actually watch it....

The Last Broadcast - 1998 - Reviewed by Jstn.
This movie, which is claimed to be produced before the Blair Witch Project and I truly believe it was, is very similiar to it. So if you liked the Blair Witch this would surely suit you. It's about these two hosts of a cable access show called "Fact or Fiction" that enlist the help of a psychic and head off into the woods of New Jersey looking for the legendary "New Jersey Devil". I'm not going to give it away but not all of them come back. At this point a narrator explains the events leading up to the murder using the footage found from the trip. A little while later a box of unseen footage arrives at the producer's doorstep. You'll have to check this one out to see what was on the footage, it would suck if I gave it away. I should say though, the ending wasn't all that great. But overall it's a good choice....
