24. George W. CRABTREE was born in 1825 in Maine or New Brunswick, Canada. ⁽³⁴⁾ He appeared on the census in 1850 in Danforth, Maine. He was listed as a Farmer on the 1860 census in Danforth, Maine.⁽³⁴⁾ He enlisted in the Civil War 22 Mar 1865 in Co. H 14th Infantry from Maine. He died of measles on 3 Jul 1865 while serving in the war.⁽³⁵⁾ He was married to Elizabeth Ann McDonald.

25. Elizabeth ⁽³⁶⁾ was born on 10 May 1825 in New Brunswick, Canada according to the the 1870 census.^{(10) (37)} Other family sources believe she came from Scotland, but this has yet to be verified. She appeared on the census in 1860, 1870, 1880, 1890 and 1900 in Danforth, Washington Co, Maine. ⁽³⁸⁾Elizabeth filed as surviving spouse for her husband's Civil War pension on 6 Oct. 1865. She had six children to feed, one of whom was just born the same year her husband died. Children were:

i. Frank CRABTREE was born in 1851.⁽³⁴⁾
ii. Harriett CRABTREE was born on 31 Jul 1853. ⁽³⁹⁾ She appeared on the census in 1860 in Danforth, Maine.
iii. Josephine CRABTREE was born in 1856. ⁽³⁹⁾ She appeared on the census in 1860 and 1870 in Danforth, Maine.
iv. May O. CRABTREE was born in Mar 1861.⁽²⁵⁾ She appeared on the census in 1870 and 1880 in Danforth, Maine. She married Charles Bither about 1878 and had 2 children, Frank and Bertram.
