Dorothy Cross Dorothy Cross (1906-1972) Courtesy, New Jersey State Museum This photograph of Dorothy (Cross) Jensen was taken in 1937 when she was doing archeological field research at the Abbott Farm site near Trenton. While a professor on the faculty of Hunter College in Manhattan, Cross lived in Trenton and did much of her archeological work in New Jersey. Her research on New Jersey Indian sites was published in 1941 and her research on the Abbott Farm outside Trenton in 1956. |

This is the first time that people of their age have been invited into a national institution to curate an exhibition and it is a great honour for Garter Lane Arts Centre to have an exhibition including works by Robert Ballagh, Nigel Rolfe, Dorothy Cross and Janine Antoni on display. The gallery is open from 10am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday, admission is free and school groups are especially welcome. The Young Curators are a group of eight teenagers who have come together using the Museum's Collection as their primary resource. |
