Phyllis Bone, sculptor (1896 - 1972), produced models for many decorative stone sculptures on significant buildings of Edinburgh. These include the Scottish National War Memorial in Edinburgh Castle, and St Andrew's House. One of Bone's most remarkable achievements was the series of sculptures on the Zoology Building (1927-8), now part of the Institute of Cell, Animal and Population Biology at the King's Buildings campus.
