This activity proved that stereotyping those with disabilities was almost too easy, and that people without disabilities must work hard to keep an open mind. Throughout the presentation, Kevin Scott Meyers, who is blind, offered a lot of good information about interacting with disabled persons in the workplace. Of course, this is not true, and he stressed that everyone is an individual, whether they have a disability or not. He also encouraged people not to be afraid to ask coworkers with disabilities questions to clear up any misconceptions that might exist.

I thought about them on the plane returning to California from the Midwestern town where my sister's family lives. I thought about all the things that she hadn't seen or heard or done. The Youth Team Tournament at the AMHA National Show is held during the opening weekend of the show with youth competition and the parade of teams. All of you that helped us last year are to be commended for your dedication to our AMHA Youth. All the kids enjoyed the things they received, and I personally want to thank everyone that helped in any way. You were wonderful, and the kids were very appreciative. Any donated item (which can be as small as a hoof pick or as large as you care) must be donated in blocks of 12 since each team will have12 members.
