html General Information The course will survey key aesthetic developments and critical issues in European and American avant-garde art of the last six decades, emphasizing the work of major artists. HA 463 and HA 663 students will attend the same lectures, but HA 663 students will do additional reading, write a paper, and take slightly different exams. Graduate students and undergraduate art history majors should enroll in HA 663. (2000); Michael Archer, Art Since 1960 (1997); and Linda Weintraub, Art on the Edge and Over (1996). Recommended for students in HA 663 is Sylvan Barnet, A Short Guide to Writing About Art, 6th ed.
