Human Cloning

Human cloning. Those two words have become the heat of many debates across the world. Most people would agree that cloning humans is morally enethical and simply wrong. However, there are many benefits to human cloning that can not go unnoticed, or rather, unappreciated. Imagine for a moment that your 3 year old daughter contracted the life theatening diesease, leukemia. They can not find a bone marrow match. Your daughter is dying. This little girl that you have grown to love, adore- this innocent child will have no future-----well she could still survive. She could survive by having a clone bone marrow transplant. Imagine your brother, fresh out of high school needed a kidney. Well, what if they cloned your second, your healthy kidney, to replace your first....instead of waiting on a waiting list for years, hoping you survive. Cloning of organs could help in many different ways. It could help and save lives. On the other hand, besides just the cloning of organs- what if we could clone a whole new baby?

Imagine you just found out your pregnant. You have a healthy beautiful baby boy in your arms. Years go by and you grow to love and adore this child. Tragedy stricks and in an instant your, now 5 year old son is hit by a car and killed instantly. You try for a new child, you do everything in your power to have a child. Then a doctor comes up to you and tells you that you can clone your deceased son. There is hope. Not that you want to replace your son in anyway, but this is your last chance to have a child. You decide its worth the risk, and before you know it you're pregnant. You are about to give birth to a bouncing baby boy, thanks to science.

Many people can and will argue the fact that cloning humans is trying to do Gods work. But, God gave us the science to do with it what we can. Does God not want us to go to the moon? Does God not want us to fly in air planes? God made it so we can't fly, does that mean we shouldn't use the technology to invent the airplane? We are growing everyday with what we have. It takes society years to approve the new things we discover in technology every single day. The first time we had a test tube baby, it was all in the press, it was all over the magazines- now we have 13,000 children living normal lives. The same could be true for cloning.
