Someone Else To Love
For Aunt Mary
March 25th she took her last breath
The angels were sent down from above
they held her hand with patience and grace
As they departed my Grandma of true love.
I found out about her death later that afternoon
I know she watched from Heaven when I got the news
I fell to my knees with overwhelming pain
The battle with cancer was one she couldn't help but lose.
I did not know what was behind the next door
I did not know what the Lord was putting my way
Too many questions were going unanswered
I had no choice but to take it day by day.
As the days went on angels surrounded my soul
My Grandma looked down and saw my tears
She looked around for the one that could help me go on
She chose you to be the one to comfort my growing fears.
Her older sister would now enter my heart
With your words of grace and smile of passion
Advice you truely carry in your soul
You are the one of true dedicated inspiration.
We don't spend much time together
I see you maybe twice a year
But when I lost my grandma, I lost a love
I thought was forever dissapeared
Then you entered my life
Not taking her place
But giving me her warm smile
That was always around, just in case.
You were send down for me in a time of sorrow
Almost like an angel from heaven above
When my Grandma passed away
In her death she gave me someone else to love.
