Early Life: Leonardo da Vinci was born in a small farm very close to the town Vinci. His mom was a peasant woman and father was a well know man. He went with his father soon after birth to the city of Florence. There he was given the best teachings of art where he was the apprentice in the best studio in Italy the Verrocchio's workshop. Their people saw his amazing talent. Soon after joining an art guild he learn much from other great artist of the new renaissance.
Life in Milian: Leonardo went to Milan to paint for the Duke of Milan, Ludovico Sforza. He had written the Duke a letter that told about all the things that he would do as architect and engineer. While he was there he worked mostly on designing inventions for the army. He also had apprentices of his own in art while he drew one of his most famous works "Last Supper". He was suppose to work on the statue monument Sforza but he never did.
Life in Florence: Leonardo came back to Florence to entered the service of Cesare Borgia, duke of Romagna and son and chief general of Pope Alexander VI. He again worked as a architect and engineer. He later worked on many of his famous works like the "Mona Lisa".
Travels and Death: He went back at the summons of its French governor, Charles d'Amboise. The following year he was named court painter to King Louis XII of France. From there he went to and from Milan and Florence to watch his inheritance and protect it form this stepbrothers and sisters. In 1516 he traveled to France to enter the service of King Francis I. He spent his last years at the Château de Cloux, near Amboise, where he died on May 2, 1519.
Achievements: Leonardo was one of the most advanced people in his time he understood more things than most average men know today. He was the expert on all the arts. He came up with scientific theories that we still are trying to understand today because Leonardo never finished his works. His paintings also where very complex and explained many things about renaissance art. Most people say that because of his homosexual charges many people stayed away from him so he had lots of time to himself just to think this making him the man people call Universal Man because of his many talents and achievements.
