She is riding a financial rocket to a life of ease. She deserves it.
Nan started out at $7.25 an hour, entry-level, bottom of the basket, 5 years ago.
She has a 6 year-old son, no man to do laundry, make food, clean, care for the boy, nothing. She does it all herself.
Her ex thought she would go along with his punching-bag routine. She didn’t.
Just before Christmas her boss gave her the best present ever. The company is launching a new version of their main product and they promoted her to the top. This is the first time in 43 years that the company promoted anyone to an executive position from within. They know she can handle the entire East Coast. Her boss calls it “A Once In A Lifetime Opportunity.”
She said she went to the Big Dog Christmas Lunch this year. She always wondered what that was like. On the way back to the office they stopped at Starbucks. “I have never even been inside of a Starbucks!” she laughed.
Nan is truly amazing. She is one of the few women I know that didn’t wear leather pants to get where she is…rocket ride! BRAVO! Sometimes smart girls do win.
