Another common melodic idea over minor chords is the Gone But Not Forgotten lick from the song of the same name. In A minor the notes would be B, C, G#, B, A, E. The chord tones would be 9th, 3rd, maj.7, 9th, root and 5th which perfectly outline the minor chord. While this is a great melodic idea it is not a very commonly played tune which makes it great material to use in a solo until further inspiration comes along.
