The Governors Office of Crime Control and Prevention recently notified 

the City that we have received $134,584 in year four funding. The Gateway 

CDC received another $4,987 in funding bringing our total to $139,571.  

While this falls short of our  requested amount, it is significantly more 

than we had received in prior years. Of these funds,$27,688 is dedicated to 

Community Policing enforcement initiatives.  Programs such as clean 

sweep and border patrol with the County and D.C. can now continue.

Mark your calendars, on Tuesday, August 7 beginning at 

6:00pm we will celebrate National Night Out. The event will 

take place at City Hall Plaza at One Municipal Place (the 

intersections of Perry and 24th Street and Rhode Island
