This set was to cover the main demands of the Post Office mail services, and showed remarkable bad taste in design. The stamps were printed by letterpress by the Imperial Occussi-Ambeno Government Printing Office (KDPN) using Adana 8-5 press. The 1¢ stamp is on white paper, while the 7¢ is on thick buff paper, with some stamps having parts of the papermaker's watermark, and are of varying perforation.
