This set marked Occussi-Ambeno's participation in the Science-Fiction Convention, in Wellington. The design of the 8¢ is by George Baxter, and the 25¢ is by Duncan Lucas. The 8¢ and 25¢ stamps were printed by letterpress on yellow mat paper with invisible gum by the Imperial Occussi-Ambeno Government Printing Office, KDPN, Baleksetung, and are perf. 8. The 42¢ had the photo printed by offset, and the other colours by letterpress, by the KDPN. The 42¢ imperf was released in a very small edition some weeks after the issue of the other stamps, and was not available at the Occussi-Ambeno Post Office counter at the Convention.
