This stamp commemorates the 20th birthday of the Republic of Mevu, a small Fifth World country in Antarctica. The design is by the Norwegian archæologist Geir Sor-Reime, and the stamps were printed by letterpress by the Imperial Occussi-Ambeno Government Printing Office (KDPN) using a Heidelberg platen press on white paper with invisible gum.
