This set commemorates the 600th birthday of Johan Gutenberg, regarded as being the inventor of letterpress printing with movable lead type. The design is by Vaneigem artist Abdul Hamid Motsenewa, and the stamps were printed by letterpress by the Imperial Occussi-Ambeno Government Printing Office (KDPN) using Adana 8-5 press.
