PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

On the occasion of the First Annual Induction and Ball of the Philippines-America Performing Arts of Georgia, Inc., the newly appointed officers and I welcome you all.

I would like to thank the officers and members for the unselfish support and cooperation you have extended to make this organization a success.

However, inspite of the modest success we have achived, I have but three request to ask from each and everyone of you.

First, let us aim at unity and cooperation. We are vested with roles to perform. Let us do it to the best of our ability.

Second, let us be continuously proud of our unique and rich cultural heritage. A heritage that has stood the test of time: that stood strong and triumphant, despite the challenges and obstacles. After all, aren't we considered as resilient as the bamboo tree?

Third, let us encouage compatriots to join us, to join hands, to make this organization live and not just exist. Let us not ask what the organization can do for us, but what we can do for the organization.

Theadore Roosevelt once wrote a quote: "For better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumps, even though checkered by failure, than rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat."

Now as your duly elected President, I take the office with all that it demands. The newly elected officers and I will conduct its business with open communication, fairness, candor and integrity.

Give us your cooperation and together we will make PAPAG, an organization we can all be proud of.

I thank you, Sincerely yours,

Josie R. Baron

The 2002 PAPAG Induction of Officers and Queen of Queens Ball was October 12th 2002 at the Atlanta Airport Marriott Grand Ball room. Entertainment was the PAPAG Dancers, Warner Robbins and Philippine Recording Artist Toni Daya. Music and Sound by Pocholo Espejo.

This was a fully loaded formal black tie evening of non stop entertainment. There was such a large programme that we were left with little dance time, but when it did start Pocholo had a bubble machine that made up for it. The Anniversary Ball was a success to remember and the official start of Papag’s first birthday.

Guest speaker was the Honorable Ray Donato The induction of officers chosen by Josie Baron, by Atty. Ronnie Abellera. The Master of ceremonies was Dr and Mrs. Ferdinand Tesora.

The winner of the Queen of Queens Pageant was a screaming Angelie Ella.
