2001 an Odyssey with the POETS in the POCONOS.

The Poets in the Poconos are a group of writers who met over the Internet, where they shared a common interest in the Writers Club, and in different poetry rooms and forums. The poets now return for their 3rd annual tour: 2001 an Odyssey. Since their first tour in 1999 their numbers, as well as their following of poetically inclined audience members has grown by leaps and bounds.

The fourteen traveling minstrels of words strive to reach the general public through accessible and enjoyable poetry. By bringing their poetry to life, they hope to renew an interest for the art of the spoken word.

The group's enthusiasm to expand interest in their craft is evident as local poets and members of the audience are also invited to share their works with the public at some of the venues.

Individual books will be available along with a collective chapbook of the touring poets.

The Poets in the Poconos will be performing, in the greater East Stroudsburg area April 26 through April 28th at the following locations:
