"God damn it, go faster Duo! They're gaining!" Heero shouted over the whistling of the wind. Duo grunted, and stepped on the gas petal of the rickety Jeep, blasting through the forest. Gunfire echoed behind them. "Heero!" Duo shouted, bullets bouncing off the road ahead of them. The enemy behind was firing through the Jeep itself. Heero nodded, pulling out his gun, and firing back. "Watch it!" Heero shouted. Another hail of bullets went through the Jeep. Duo felt once go whistling by his cheek, and blood trickled down his face. Heero fired once more, taking out the enemies tire, sending their vehicle rolling into a large tree. A fire blazed, and exploded. "God, that was close!" Duo sighed in relief, looking over at Heero. Heero didn't answer back. In fact, Heero was sitting up. "Heero? Heero!?" Duo screamed, shaking his friend. Heero grunted, and rolled toward the door, the red bloom spreading across his side showing. Duo looked on in horror. "Mission Complete......" Heero grunted, seizing up as he began to cough blood. Duo felt a tear trickle into his bloody cheek. "Heero, this mission isn't over until we get back to base!" Duo shouted. He looked up, horror spreading across his face. The Jeep ran off the road, slamming into rough ditch. Duo screamed in pain as his chest hit the steering wheel. Heero was flipped through the window opening, but no made no sound. His breathing was shallow. "Heero! You had better be alive! I swear, if you die on me....." Duo smirked at the thought of threatening a dead man. But, to his relief, Heero wasn't dead, though he might as well have been. Duo groaned, and sat down beside Heero's fallen form. Blood covered Heero's chest and head. Duo's own face bloodied horribly. "Here we are, Heero! The great Gundam Soldiers, in the middle of no where. You dying, me talking to myself, and a baby crying!" Duo laughed, but stopped in mid chuckle, looking around. "Baby crying?" Duo got up, making sure Heero was still alive, and walked toward the wailing sound. At first, he couldn't believe his eyes. There, right around the corner, was a cabin. In the middle of no where. Duo shouted in joy, and ran up to the rough wooden structure, waving his arms. He stopped when he saw the dried blood splattered on the porch wall, and the dead woman's body. Next to her, a young man, equally as dead. The only person there not dead, besides himself, was a tiny wailing infant. "Hey there, you. Guess you were quite when the shots rang out." Duo picked up the child, and looked around. No one else was there, just a tiny little girl with Prussian Blue eyes, and soft chestnut brown hair. "Heero!" Duo yelled, running with the child toward his fallen comrade. "Duo........ it.......... hurts.........." Heero slipped out of the forest, clutching his side with a blood covered hand. Duo shouted, and ran to the limping figure, quickly balancing Heero, and holding the child. "What's......... that......?" Heero asked, weaving drunkenly toward the cabin. Duo shook his head, and opened the door, setting Heero down on the coach. "The current living resident. Hold her, I'll find some bandages." Duo ran out of the room, and began scavenging the house for anything useful. Heero leaned heavily against the coach, holding the giggling infant upright. "Hn." Heero grunted, his face ashen from blood loss. The child giggled again, and Duo ran into the room, clutching miscellaneous bandages. "I found this. It should do, but it's going to hurt like hell!" Duo grinned, and held up the hydrogen peroxide. Heero nodded, and removed what was left of his bloody shirt. Duo poured the peroxide on the wound, watching it fizz. Heero bit his lip, but made no sound. The child just cooed happily. Duo shook his head, and looked up at Heero. "Heero, this looks bad. I think the bullet hit something serious." Duo looked at his friend. Heero grunted weakly. "Just hand me the bandages if you won't do anything." Heero demanded, holding out his spare hand. Duo glared at him, and began dressing the wound. "What you need is a doctor! You have no business even being alive, if you wern't so stubborn!" Duo snapped, pulling the wrap tighter. Heero sucked in his breath, and his eyes clouded over with tears, but made no effort to scream. "Duo, what is the childs name. You seem to know her best." Heero grunted, laying back on the couch. Blood was already seeping through the dressing. The child cooed, and cuddled closer to Heero. Duo smiled. 'She would look just like her Father, if it wasn't for the blood. Oh God, all that blood!' Duo looked on as the blood turned the bandages bright red, and began crying. "Duo, you take her. I feel so sleepy........" Heero's head relaxed back, and Duo picked up the child. "Heero. Her name is Heero." Duo sighed. Heero stopped breathing, and passed from Life to Death. Duo collapsed, crying. The infant gurgled, reaching for Heero's dead body......... "Oh God, Duo! We were worried, you were gone for days...... where's Heero? What's that?" Quatre asked, running up to the exhausted Duo. Duo sighed, and handed Quatre the infant, falling over. "Her name is Heero........ Her name is Heero........." Duo sighed. Quatre watched in horror as the pilot breathed his last, dead of exhaustion. "No Duo, her name is Heero Duet. Heero Duet......." Quatre began crying, the child joining in with the wailing........
